Level 81 Board Overview: The Locked Left Half

Level 81 splits the board in two and dares you to play it as one. Don’t. When the level loads, only the right side of the Top Tray is actually touchable — a tall 3x5 grid where all your early work happens. The left side is a 3x4 grid sealed under a heavy chain and a yellow padlock, holding blue, light pink, green, and yellow tiles you can’t reach yet.

The opening color story is red, light pink, and purple. Your four starting receiver Boxes ask for light pink, red, purple, and another red, and the right tray has exactly those tiles near the surface. Later the board swings hard into blue, yellow, and green once the chain breaks.

The real prize sits at the very top center of the right tray: a brown tile carrying the golden Key. Everything you do in the first phase is about tunneling up the middle of that right grid to reach it.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 81

The bait on this board is a single green tile at the bottom-left of the right Top Tray. It looks like a free tap to open space. It isn’t — no green Box is active at the start, so that marble just parks on your Conveyor Belt and eats a slot you desperately need for the key dig.

Here’s how the rest of the board is rigged:

• The locked left 3x4 grid: pure motivation. The blue, pink, green, and yellow tiles in there matter later, but touching the chain does nothing. Ignore the whole zone until the padlock pops.
• The right 3x5 grid: your workspace. Red sits at the bottom-right (a free clear), brown sits bottom-middle (no Box yet — forced parking), and light pink and purple stack above them along the digging path.
• The orange tiles: hiding in the middle-left columns of the right tray. No orange Box exists early, so every one you expose becomes belt cargo.
• The corners: a black tile top-left and a yellow tile top-right. Both are late-game pieces. Leave them alone.

The Conveyor Belt is the real boss here. Between the forced brown parking and the exposed oranges, you’ll run the opening with a nearly full belt. One careless extra tap and the level jams before the chain even breaks.

Marble Sort Level 81 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

The opening sequence is tight. Follow the release order exactly.

Phase 1: Dig for the Key

1. Tap the red tile at the bottom-right of the right tray. It drops straight into an active red Box.
2. Tap the brown tile at the bottom-middle. No brown Box exists, so it parks on the Conveyor Belt — this is intentional, and you’ll be glad later.
3. Tap the light pink tile sitting above where the brown was. It flies into the far-left light pink Box.
4. Dig further up the middle and tap the purple tile into the active purple Box.
5. Expose the orange tiles in the middle and left columns and park them on the belt. Ugly, but necessary.
6. Tap the brown Key tile at the very top of the right tray once the center column is clear.
7. The Key tile lands on the belt and matches the brown you parked in step 2. The Lock and Key triggers, and the chain across the left side shatters.

Phase 2: The Midgame Shift

The left tray is live now, and its bottom row hands you a light pink tile and two blue tiles. Your belt is probably still crowded with parked oranges — the jam risk just moved, it didn’t leave.

8. Watch the new bottom Boxes: green, blue, and yellow cycle in as the first wave clears.
9. Tap both blue tiles on the bottom-right of the freshly unlocked left tray into the new blue Boxes. This opens the big cluster of green, yellow, and pink above them.
10. Feed green: if you parked the bait green tile earlier (or fresh greens from the left tray), match them into the green Box that opens in the second column.
11. Keep your hands off the corners. The top-left black and top-right yellow tiles stay put until the middle layers are gone and their Boxes are actually showing.

Phase 3: Clean Up the Top

The tail end of Level 81 punishes rushing. You’ll be staring at a messy mix of yellow, pink, purple, and black, while the lower Boxes cycle into a tough brown-orange-blue combination.

12. Bring the black, brown, and orange cluster at the top of the left tray down only when the lower board is nearly empty.
13. Sweep whatever is left — if you’ve kept the belt to one-or-two parked tiles the whole run, nothing here can hurt you.
