Level 82 Board Overview: The Key Behind Five Layers

Level 82 shows you the golden Key in the first second and hopes you lunge for it. The Key sits at the top of a narrow, isolated vertical chute on the far left, with four blocks stacked under it: orange, pink, and two browns at the bottom. Five taps of digging, minimum.

Meanwhile the main board on the right has its own problem: a thick Lock and Key chain runs straight across the upper rows, sealing off all the green, pink, and white blocks up there. Below the chain you’re working with light blue, red, purple, dark green, and brown.

The colors that actually matter at the start are light blue and dark green. Your front-line Boxes are almost all light blue with a single dark green mixed in. Read that again before you touch anything: there are no brown Boxes up front. Which brings us to the trap.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 82

The trap is the bottom of the left chute. Those two brown blocks are the visible path to the Key, and tapping them feels productive. It isn’t. With no brown Box in the queue, both browns land on the Conveyor Belt and just sit there. You’ve burned two belt slots and gotten zero layers closer to a clear. Do that while also grabbing the pink and orange above them and the run is over in under a minute.

Column by column, here’s the design intent:

• The left chute (Key, orange, pink, brown, brown): a patience test. Every layer except the bottom browns is mid-queue cargo at best. It only becomes safe once the lower queue asks for brown.
• The chained upper rows: dead board. The greens, pinks, and white up there don’t exist until the padlock breaks, so don’t plan around them.
• The main grid below the chain: your real workspace. Light blue and dark green near the surface are your opening clears; red and purple lurk in the middle with no early Boxes.

The whole level is one question: can you leave the left side alone until the board invites you in?

Discipline beats speed here. The Conveyor Belt forgives nothing.

Phase 1: Survive the Opening Bait

1. Tap the light blue and dark green blocks at the bottom of the main Top Tray. They feed the front-line Boxes directly.
2. Do not touch the left chute. The browns stay exactly where they are.
3. As the first wave clears, pink and green Boxes slide forward. Fill them from the unlocked blocks in the main grid.
4. Wait for a brown Box to reach the front of the lower queue. That Box is your green light.

Phase 2: Dig the Chute and Break the Chain

5. Tap the two bottom browns in the left chute. They drop straight into the waiting brown Box — no belt clog.
6. A pink Box appears soon after. Match it with the pink block in the chute.
7. Tap the orange block. That drops the golden Key, and the giant chain across the main board shatters.

Phase 3: Ride the Green Flood

8. The unlock releases a huge cluster of bright green blocks in the upper tray, and the lower queue pushes green Boxes forward at the same time. Match them quickly — but tap deliberately, not blindly.
9. Leave the red and purple blocks in the middle of the grid alone. No Boxes want them yet, and parked reds will block the greens you actually need.
10. Peel the light blue and pink cluster off the top-right corner. This opens vertical space and gives you a clear view of the back rows.

Phase 4: The Late Color Surge

11. White and orange Boxes suddenly slide to the front as the middle clears. A lone white block hides on the far right of the upper grid — hold it until the white Box is physically at the front of the queue.
12. Finish the stragglers: red, orange, and purple Boxes cycle in at the very back of the queue. Keep the belt completely empty and pull each color down one at a time. If the matching Box isn’t up front, the block stays in the tray.
