Level 89 Board Overview: The 28 Panel and the Front-Row Flood

Level 89 punishes fast fingers. The first thing you see is a wall of huge color blocks begging to be tapped — and tapping them is exactly how you lose. The whole level revolves around one giant lock-and-key chain of events, and the order is not negotiable.

On the right side of the Top Tray, a metal Panel covers a 3x3 grid and shows a counter of 28. That number only drops when you clear bottom Boxes, and until it hits zero the right half stays sealed. Perched above the Panel, in the top-right corner, sits a blue box holding the golden key — completely out of reach for now.

The upper-left quadrant is chained shut with a gold padlock. Behind that lock: a batch of gray Mystery Boxes and one solid red box. Below the chain, the left side carries a wall of pink, lime green, and purple, with four Arrow Boxes pointing upward embedded in it — purple on both ends, blue mid-left, red mid-right.

The bait lives at the front edge: three 9-capacity boxes in dark brown, bright green, and yellow, with a Tunnel (countdown 4, holding light blue) right behind them. Your starting receiver Boxes ask for bright green, light blue, and lime green. No Box wants dark brown or yellow yet — dump those giants early and your Conveyor Belt is instantly full.

Every piece of this board pushes you toward one mistake: playing the front row first.

• The 9-capacity trio: dark brown, bright green, and yellow look like free clears. Only the green has a matching Box at the start. The other two would park nine marbles each on a belt with no destination — run over.
• The Panel counter: 28 clears is a long grind. Everything you do in the early game exists only to feed bottom Boxes from safe sources: the exposed right-side blocks and the Tunnel.
• The key dependency chain: the left side cannot open until the Panel breaks, because the key sits on top of it. And the key box is blue — you must cycle a blue receiver Box into the front row before you can cash it in.
• The Arrow Boxes: they only activate once the colors beneath them are gone, so the left-side wall resolves late, not early.
• The Mystery Boxes: each one hides its color until the box in front of it clears. Guess wrong and you strand marbles.

This is a marathon, not a sprint. Belt discipline wins it.

Phase one: starve the bait, feed the Panel counter

1. Do not touch the dark brown, yellow, or 9-capacity green boxes at the front. They are traps.
2. Tap the exposed light blue boxes on the right side of the Top Tray into the light blue receiver.
3. Pull the next light blue boxes out of the center Tunnel to keep that clear going.
4. As fresh receiver Boxes cycle in, watch for lime green and pink. Drop the pink and lime green blocks from the right side and from under the chain.
5. Keep feeding whatever the bottom Boxes ask for, drawing only from the right side and the Tunnel. Each clear ticks the Panel counter down toward zero.

Phase two: break the Panel and cash in the key

6. When the counter hits 28 clears, the Panel shatters, revealing white boxes and gaps — and the blue key box finally drops into play.
7. Cycle your receiver Boxes until a blue Box shows in the front row.
8. Drop the blue key box onto the Conveyor Belt and clear it. The padlock on the left snaps open and the chain vanishes.
9. The Mystery Boxes are now reachable, but stay disciplined: drop the solid red box first so the hidden colors behind it reveal themselves before you commit.
10. Work the left wall downward — clear the pink and purple clusters under where the chain was to activate the four upward Arrow Boxes.

Phase three: survive the final flood

11. Now the 9-capacity boxes are safe to play — but only drop yellow or dark brown when two matching receiver Boxes are already waiting.
12. Clear the dark brown stack early in this phase; it blocks your view of the Tunnel’s last drops.
13. The opened left side pours orange and red marbles into play. If more than four unmatched marbles sit on your belt, stop tapping and let the bottom Boxes catch up.
14. Release the last Mystery Boxes from the top-left corner only when the belt is clean, and sweep the leftovers to finish.
