Level 142 Board Overview: The Crate-Locked Corners

Level 142 opens on a five-column tray with its bottom corners nailed shut. Five wooden crates sit in the lower left, lower right, and center-left of the board, hiding whole slots and forcing the opening to play out through the upper rows. Around them, a mix of visible marbles, question-mark mystery tiles, and numbered tiles fills the grid.

The color roster on the opening board is wide: Pink, Orange, Yellow, Purple, Brown, Light Blue, and Blue sit in plain sight, while Green, Orange, Yellow, Black, Blue, and more Green hide under mystery tiles. But the receiver Boxes tell a different story. The front rows ask only for Purple, Yellow, Green, Orange, Cyan, Blue, and a single Pink — there is not one Brown, Light Blue, or Black Box in sight.

Down on the belt, the queue starts packed with a long run of Orange and a Blue already in the launcher. That pre-loaded chain shapes the whole opening: the game is daring you to stack more junk behind it.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 142

This level baits you with three colors that have nowhere to go:

• Brown marble, center-left: sitting in plain view with no Brown Box in the first several rows. Tap it and it parks on your belt, jamming the queue.
• Light Blue marble, center-right: the same story — visible, tempting, and boxless until the rows cycle.
• Black mystery tile: a Black marble hides under a question mark near the middle of the board. Revealing it early dumps a fourth useless marble on your belt.
• The Orange traffic jam: the belt already carries a seven-marble Orange run. Every extra Orange you tap just lengthens a queue that the boxes can only swallow a few at a time.

The crates make it worse: with the bottom corners sealed, you cannot reach the deeper slots to free up space, so a clogged belt early means a slow, painful opening.

Marble Sort Level 142 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Patience is the whole trick. Let the boxes dictate what you touch.

Opening: feed the front row only

1. Tap the Purple marble near the middle of the tray into the front-left Purple Box — it wants two Purples, so keep both mid-tray Purples in mind.
2. Send the second Purple to the same box to clear the color entirely.
3. Tap the Yellow marble in the center column into the front-row Yellow Box.
4. Crack the Green mystery tile at the top-left and send its reveal into the front-right Green Box. Green is only found under mystery tiles here, so treat every Green tile as precious.
5. Do not touch the Brown, the Light Blue, or any mystery tile except the Green — none of them have homes yet.
6. Let the belt’s Orange run deliver itself; as Orange Boxes slide forward, add the visible Orange marbles (upper middle and top right) behind it, keeping the run together.

Midgame: the crates lose their grip

Once the first box rows clear, the receiver grid shifts and the colors that were boxless finally get homes.

7. When a Brown Box appears, tap the Brown marble immediately — it has waited all game.
8. Do the same for the Light Blue the moment its Box shows up.
9. Only now crack the Black mystery tile, and only when a Black Box is in the front rows — feed it straight through and off the belt.
10. Handle the numbered tiles (Pink, Yellow, Blue) with spare belt room; they behave differently from plain marbles, so tap them one at a time rather than in a rush.
11. Keep every delivery in color runs — a lone marble on a busy belt just idles and blocks the boxes behind it.

Cleanup: Pink, Green, and Black finish the job

With the tray nearly empty, the board narrows to a handful of colors. Mid-solve, the surviving tray marbles are Purple, Pink, a pair of Greens, and Black, with the belt queued up with long Pink and Green runs.

12. Feed the final Purple as its last Box arrives.
13. Deliver the two Greens into the matching Boxes — they are already waiting on the belt, so just let them roll.
14. Send the Pink marble and its numbered-tile partner home as the Pink Boxes come forward.
15. Close out with the last Black, letting the trailing belt runs finish the grid on their own.
