Marble Sort Level 407 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 407 Board Overview: The Numbered-Marker Tray

Level 407 is a Hard run of the tile-grid variant. The play field is a funnel-shaped tray of columns packed with chunky colored blocks — Pink, Green, Yellow, Purple, Light Blue, Red, Orange, Brown, and Blue tiles fill the slots, with dark grey gaps left between them. The whole tray is visible from the first frame: no mystery boxes here, so the level is a reading problem, not a guessing one.
The first thing you notice is the frame: the outer left and right columns of the tray are built from yellow numbered marker tiles wearing 1, 2, and 3 badges. These are the level’s lock mechanic — each marker pays several tiles in one drop, so they gate the edges of the board until a matching receiver stack cycles around to take their payout.
Below the tray, the receiver stacks wait in color-coded rows. The early asks lean toward Yellow, Red, Orange, Pink, and the light side colors, with the mid-tray piles of Purple, Brown, Blue, and White holding no home at first. Above the board sit the magnet and shuffle power-ups, and the run is flagged with the red “Hard” skull badge, so expect the column stacks to be deep and the receiver rotation to be slow.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 407
The board is rigged to make you spend your numbered markers too early. Here is the layout:
- The numbered markers seal both outer columns: yellow tiles with 1/2/3 badges run down the left and right edges of the tray. They look like easy progress, but each one is a multi-tile payout — fire one at a closed stack and you waste the whole batch.
- Only a few colors have receivers at the start: Yellow, Pink, and the light shades are the safe early feeds. Purple, Brown, Orange, Blue, and White sit mid-tray with no stack asking for them yet.
- The mid-tray piles sit on top of the wanted colors: the opening view shows the useful Pink, Green, and Light Blue tiles half-buried under the bait colors, so greedy tapping peels bait onto your queue with nowhere to go.
- The funnel funnels everything into the same path: every tile that drops heads for the same narrow route to the receiver stacks, so releasing two colors at once jams the level’s only drain.
Marble Sort Level 407 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Read the tray before you commit to it, and keep the outer markers banked until they pay. Follow the release order.
Opening: feed only the open stacks

- Survey the columns before your first tap — note which tiles sit directly above their matching receiver stacks and which colors have no stack at all.
- Tap the Pink tiles into the open Pink receiver. Pink is the most plentiful color on the board, so it clears the fastest and frees column space early.
- Feed Yellow the same way, but leave the numbered marker tiles alone for now — the plain Yellow tiles are the safe way to open that stack.
- Drop the Light Blue and Red tiles that have a home in the front row, keeping one tile per drop as the columns drain.
- Do not touch the Orange, Brown, Purple, Blue, or White tiles yet. None of them has a receiver in the opening rotation, and every one you release is queue space you cannot afford to lose.
- Keep the outer numbered-marker columns untouched through the whole opening — their batches are worth more later, when the Yellow stack actually cycles to the front.
Midgame: bank the markers, clear column by column
Once the opening colors drain, the receivers cycle and the outer edges become the main event. The mid-solve view shows the tray about half empty, every receiver stack holding its first tiles, and the left column markers already starting to burn down from their top badges.
- When the Yellow receiver reaches the front row, start banking the numbered markers down the outer columns — each badge pays its full number of tiles in a single drop and empties an entire edge column.
- Watch the badges descend as you clear: work each numbered column from its top marker down so the bottom badges fall into place behind it.
- Feed the mid-tray Purple and Brown runs only when their stacks cycle forward; a column holding two matching tiles clears in one pass and opens the tray wide.
- Never double-drop into the funnel — release one tile at a time so each lands in its own stack and nothing stalls in the drain.
- Finish each column completely before moving to the next; the tray opens up fastest when whole columns go empty instead of skimming one tile off every pile.
- Save the White and Blue stragglers for the stacks that open last; they sit deep in the tray and are the easiest to leave covered.
Cleanup: drain the last columns
The closing frames of the run catch the board mid-solve: most columns are down to a single tile or already empty, the four receiver stacks are partially filled, and a couple of numbered markers still wait on the right edge. The finish is the same pattern the whole level rewards.
- Play only to the active front row from here — every remaining tile is a single waiting for its stack to slide forward.
- Clear the last full column by matching top-down, then let the remaining singles fall into their receivers as the rotation reaches them.
- Keep the funnel fed one tile at a time and the level drains itself — the tray empties, the final receivers fill, and the markers pay out their last batches.

Level 407 Tips Recap
- The numbered markers on the outer columns are multi-tile payouts — never spend one until its receiver stack is live in the front row.
- Yellow, Pink, Red, and Light Blue open the level; Purple, Brown, Orange, Blue, and White are bait until the receivers cycle.
- Clear whole columns at a time and feed the funnel one tile per drop — double releases are the only real way to jam this board.
- In the endgame, every leftover tile is a single waiting for its stack: play to the front row and let the rotation finish the level.
