Marble Sort Level 248 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 248 Board Overview: The Crate-Sealed Tray

Marble Sort level 248 opening board — The Crate-Sealed Tray

Level 248 opens on a packed tile grid: seven columns tall enough to hide half of what you need. A wooden crate sits planted on the left side of the tray, sealing the lower tiles of the first two columns behind a wall you cannot clear. Right of it, the center columns carry blue numbered mystery tiles that take several hits to release, and arrow tiles across the top edge push marbles down or sideways as they drop.

The colors you can act on immediately are Blue, Green, Yellow, and Red. The four receiver columns below ask for a mix that starts with Dark Blue, Purple, Yellow, Brown, Red, Green, and Pink, and the front rows rotate as you fill them. Yellow has the most homes on the opening board — three of the four receivers want it — so it is your first real currency. Red sits directly under Green in the fourth column, giving you a clean two-tile chain to start.

The colors to avoid at the start are Orange, Dark Green, and Light Purple. Orange caps the second column and rides low in the fourth and fifth columns, Dark Green stacks the second and third columns, and a Light Purple vertical tile plugs the third column — none of them have a receiver yet, so touching them jams the belt.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 248

The board is rigged to make you grab everything in reach. Here is the layout:

  • The wooden crate owns the left-center: it blocks the lower tiles of the first two columns, so the left side of the tray is dead weight until the Boxes cycle. The Blue tile above it is the only safe tap on that side.
  • Numbered mystery tiles cap the center: blue tiles marked with a count sit in the upper center columns and take multiple passes to clear. They are not one-tap tiles — commit to them only when a matching Box is front row.
  • Orange, Dark Green, and Light Purple have no Boxes: every one of them sits reachable in the opening tray, and every one of them is bait. Feed them early and the conveyor stalls before the first receivers clear.
  • Arrow tiles steer the drops: down-arrows and a left-arrow on the top-row tiles control where marbles land, so a column that looks open can send a marble sideways into a wall.

Marble Sort Level 248 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Sort the colors with homes first, and let the Boxes rotate toward the rest. Follow the release order.

Opening: play the right side

Marble Sort level 248 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the Blue tile at the top of the left column into the Dark Blue receiver slot below it.
  2. Move to the fourth column and drop the Green tile from its top into a Green receiver.
  3. Immediately tap the Red tile sitting under that Green into the Red slot — one column, two clean drops.
  4. Pull the Yellow tiles from the lower fourth and fifth columns into the Yellow receivers. Yellows have three homes, so every Yellow you free is safe.
  5. Do not touch the Orange capping the second column, the Dark Greens stacked below it, or the Light Purple vertical tile in the third column — no receiver wants them yet.
  6. Skip the numbered blue mystery tiles until a Blue or Dark Blue Box cycles to the front row; feeding them early wastes belt space on a tile that needs several hits.

Midgame: crack the center and ride the waves

By the midpoint the right side has thinned out and the receivers have rotated. Yellow is nearly cleared from the grid — almost all of it already sits in the boxes — and Red is following hard behind it, with the queue above the receivers running in matched runs of Red, Green, and Pink.

  1. Keep feeding the Yellow and Red runs as the Boxes rotate — matched batches finish a receiver in one pass and open belt space fast.
  2. Commit to the numbered mystery tiles now that a matching Box is near the front. Each cleared tile drops its buried color, so time it with an open receiver.
  3. Work the fifth and sixth columns down one tile at a time; the lower tiles hide the colors the midgame receivers are asking for.
  4. Start feeding Green and Pink whenever their receivers are front row — they are the most abundant colors left on the board and the queue is already stacked with them.
  5. Leave the crate-sealed left columns alone until a Brown, Orange, or Dark Green Box cycles forward; the crate never clears, so those tiles are only playable through the top.

Cleanup: survive the Green and Pink flood

The end frame shows the tray stripped down with Green pouring out of the play grid and into the queue, the conveyor packed with matched rows, and the receivers still taking their final tiles. This is a flood, not a trick — the last boxes want exactly the colors that remain.

  1. Feed the Green streams as they drop; the queue handles several Greens per pass, so a full belt of them is a gift, not a problem.
  2. Keep the Pink runs moving behind the Greens — Pink shares the bottom rows of the queue and has receiver space to the end.
  3. Only tap a color whose receiver is in the front row from here. The final Dark Blue, Purple, and Red tiles ride down on their own as the remaining Boxes rotate.

Level 248 Tips Recap

  • Orange, Dark Green, and Light Purple start with zero receivers — admire them from a distance until the Boxes cycle.
  • The numbered mystery tiles need multiple hits; never start one without a matching Box waiting.
  • Yellow is the opening currency (three receivers want it), but by the midgame Green and Pink own the board.
  • The crate on the left never clears — the only way to reach those tiles is through the column tops once their colors cycle forward.
