Marble Sort Level 229 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 229 Board Overview: The Sealed Grid

Marble Sort level 229 opening board — The Sealed Grid

Level 229 opens on a white grid framed in red, and the top of it is a blind spot: ten grey ’?’ tiles blanket the top two rows and run down the right edge. What you can actually see is a neat column of colored blocks on the left side of the grid — Purple near the top, then two Yellows, then Pink, Red, Green, and Brown stacked below it. Those seven blocks are your real targets for most of the level.

The business end of the board is below the grid. A conveyor belt feeds a shooter, and the belt opens with a Red, Red, White, White, then a run of four Blues, then Red, White, Green, White, and a long tail of Greens. Five column stacks sit under the belt: the left stack runs Orange, Green, Blue, Blue; the second Pink, Purple, Red, Red; the third is all Green, four deep; the fourth Yellow, White, Purple, Purple; and a fifth Yellow peeks in at the far right.

Purple is the story of this level. Nine purple marbles are already pooled at the exit of the grid, two purples cap the fourth column, and the belt keeps them company. Nothing about the opening is a straight line: clear the visible blocks, feed the queue in order, and let the ’?’ tiles stay sealed until the columns thin out.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 229

The board is rigged to make you dump into the wrong column. Here is the layout:

  • ’?’ tiles seal the top of the grid: the first two rows and the right edge are blocked, so the top half of the grid is invisible until you clear your way to it. You cannot plan the finish from the opening.
  • Purple everywhere, few Purple receivers: nine purple marbles wait at the grid exit and two cap the fourth column, but the grid only shows a single Purple block in the opening. Park a purple on the belt without a home and the queue jams.
  • The queue front mismatches the grid: Red, White, and Blue open the belt, but none of those colors appear in the visible blocks. Only the Green tail and the single exit Green match a block at the start.
  • The rightmost column is half-hidden: a lone Yellow is all you can see of the fifth stack, so the far side of the board is a gamble until the midgame.

Marble Sort Level 229 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play the queue order, not the biggest cluster. Follow the release sequence.

Opening: run the belt

Marble Sort level 229 mid-solve board

  1. Fire the opening Red. The shooter starts loaded with a red marble aimed at the left stack, and the second column already has two Reds waiting at its top.
  2. Send the second Red after it — the red run is the fastest opening column clear on the board.
  3. Feed the two Whites next. White matches the fourth column’s second layer, so it has a home even though the grid does not show a White block yet.
  4. Take the four Blues in order and send them to the left stack, which is Blue on top and Blue below.
  5. Drop the lone Red that follows the Blues, then the next White.
  6. Now the Green run arrives. The third column is Green, Green, Green, Green, so feed every Green straight into it — it is the only column you can empty completely in the opening.
  7. As the tail of Greens rides in, the grid exit opens up; pick up the single Green pooled there and send it into the same column.

Midgame: push the Purple

By the midgame the visible blocks on the left of the grid are what matters, and Purple is the key. The end-state capture shows the board well along: the top banner switches to the level-select screen, so trust the opening and closing frames for the solve arc.

  1. Work the left column of visible blocks from the top: Purple first, then the two Yellows, then Pink, Red, Green, and Brown as their columns underneath clear.
  2. Keep every Purple flowing — nine purple marbles wait at the grid exit in the opening, and the finish screen still shows ten more queued behind them. Purple is a constant feed, not an occasional tap.
  3. Strip the fourth column (Yellow, White, Purple, Purple) down one layer at a time; its two Purples are your deepest purple source.
  4. Leave the ’?’-sealed rows alone. Do not force a marble into a column whose block is still hidden behind a ’?’ tile — wait until the visible blocks above it clear.
  5. Match the belt as it shifts: Blues keep going to the left stack, Greens to the all-Green stack, and the stray Pink and Whites wait for columns that show them.

Cleanup: finish the six visible blocks

The end-state frame shows the board stripped down: only six colored blocks remain in the grid — two Yellows, a Purple, a Red, a Green, and a Brown — with ten purple marbles still waiting at the exit and the belt running Blue, Blue, Pink, White, White, and a final run of Greens.

  1. Feed the last Purples into the Purple block until it clears — it sits above the remaining Yellows, so it unlocks the finish line.
  2. Send the two Blues from the front of the belt into the left stack, which still holds Blue on top.
  3. Cycle the Pink and Whites only when a matching block is in reach; otherwise let them ride the belt.
  4. Finish with the Greens into the all-Green column and the last Yellows as their blocks slide into place. The level ends the moment the final visible block lands.

Level 229 Tips Recap

  • The ’?’ tiles seal the top rows and right edge — play the visible column of blocks first and never force a marble into a hidden block.
  • Purple is the whole level: feed the pooled purples constantly, starting with the two capping the fourth column.
  • The opening belt run is Red, White, Blue, then Green — only the Green tail matches a visible block, so follow the queue order instead of chasing colors.
  • In the endgame only six blocks remain: two Yellows, a Purple, Red, Green, and Brown. Clear the Purple first and the rest fall in sequence.
