Marble Sort Level 268 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 268 Board Overview: The Locked Staircase

Level 268 opens as a crowded staircase tray: seven columns that taper from a full-height stack on the far left down to a single marble on the far right. Five grey locked ’?’ tiles sit scattered across the left half in a stair-step pattern — two near the top of the first two columns and a row of three lower down covering columns one, three, and four. Whatever hides behind them stays invisible until boxes start clearing.
The colors on the board at the start are Pink, Yellow, Brown, Orange, Purple, Red, Green, Dark Grey, and Blue. The left column is stacked with Pink, Yellow, Brown, Pink, and Orange; the right side runs as thin single-file columns — Orange over Blue, then a lone Yellow at the very bottom-right. Every receiver box at the bottom is already pre-stacked with a mix of Brown, Green, Pink, Purple, Red, Orange, and Yellow, so nothing starts empty.
The conveyor belt is loaded before you even tap: six Cyan, four Blue, five Pink, four Green, and three Brown ride the queue in neat runs. That belt order is the real clue — the level wants you to feed those runs in sequence while the locked tiles slowly come off the left side.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 268
The board is rigged to make you play the easy side first and panic on the left. Here is the layout:
- Five locked ’?’ tiles seal the left half: they sit in a staircase from the top-left down through the middle of the tray. You cannot plan the top-left stack — Pink over Yellow over Brown — until boxes clear and the locks pop.
- Every receiver box starts pre-stacked: there are no empty boxes to dump into. Every marble you tap must match a color already sitting in a receiver, or it rides the belt and jams your queue.
- The conveyor arrives in color runs: Cyan, Blue, Pink, Green, Brown batch up on the belt. Tap a run before its box is live and you will be stuck holding several of the same color.
- The single-file right columns are bait: Orange over Blue and the lone Yellow look like free taps, but drop them out of order and you bury the very colors the receivers are asking for.
Marble Sort Level 268 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Play the right side first, break the locks, then ride the belt home. Follow the release order.
Opening: peel the right edge

- Tap the lone Yellow at the base of the far-right column — it is a single, and the Yellow receiver stack is waiting for it.
- Move one column left and tap the Blue at the bottom into a Blue receiver stack.
- Tap the Orange sitting above that Blue — the Orange receiver takes it right away.
- Now that the right side is open, feed the visible Red, Green, and Pink singles on the middle columns that already match their receiver stacks. These low-hanging taps score the first box clears.
- Keep the conveyor fed, but only tap a queue tile whose color has a live receiver. The six Cyan ride the belt first — feed them as the Cyan boxes cycle forward.
- Do not touch the top-left Pink or Yellow yet. They sit under locked tiles and have nowhere to go until the early boxes clear.
Midgame: break the locks
By the middle of the solve the locks are gone and the tray has thinned out. The mid-game frame shows the receivers congested with mixed colors, the right side of the grid nearly empty, and the left column still holding a tall stack — Pink, Yellow, Purple, Yellow, Pink, Red — with Grey tiles riding the board as filler.
- Dig the tall left column one marble at a time. Tap the Pink and Yellow on top as soon as their boxes are live.
- Pull the Purple out of the middle stacks into a Purple receiver — Purples cluster mid-tray, so they arrive in short runs.
- Treat the Grey tiles as filler: park them only when a Grey receiver is front and center, and leave them alone otherwise.
- Ride the conveyor in its runs. Blue, Pink, Green, and Brown arrive in order after the Cyan — feed each run the moment its box slides to the front.
- Score box clears to pop the remaining locked ’?’ tiles. Each clear opens more of the left stack, so the midgame is a loop: clear a box, reveal more marbles, clear the next.
Cleanup: close out with Blue and Red
The end frame shows the tray stripped down to a handful of singles — Pink, Purple, Blue, Grey, Orange, Yellow — with two receiver boxes still completely empty and the others being topped off with Blue on the left and Red on the right.
- From here, Blue and Red are the only boxes still open in force. Feed every Blue and Red you can reach.
- The leftover Orange, Yellow, Pink, and Purple ride as lone singles — play them only when their receivers cycle forward, never ahead of them.
- Keep the two empty boxes in mind: they pull the last Grey and any remaining stragglers down on their own as they open.
- Finish the final Blue and Red receivers and let the tray empty. The level completes the moment the last marble lands.

Level 268 Tips Recap
- Break the locks by clearing boxes, but never feed a color without a live receiver — the pre-stacked boxes make every wrong tap cost belt space.
- Ride the conveyor in its runs: Cyan, Blue, Pink, Green, and Brown batch up in order, so match each run to its box.
- Play the right side first — the single-file columns (Orange, Blue, Yellow) are your safe opening taps.
- In the endgame only Blue and Red matter; leave the stray Orange, Yellow, Pink, and Purple singles until their boxes cycle.
