Marble Sort Level 226 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 226 Board Overview: The Mystery-Packed Grid

Level 226 opens as a dense board in the tile-block style: a six-by-seven grid of colored blocks packed to the top, with grey mystery ’?’ tiles sitting on top of several columns and a row of empty slots running through the middle. The grid is built from Yellow, Orange, Green, Purple, and Blue blocks, and three numbered bomb marbles labeled “3” sit scattered through the stacks — they clear several tiles at once when you bank them.
The bottom tray holds the receiver columns, built from Green, Cyan, and Yellow blocks in the opening. The receivers ask for only a handful of colors at first, so most of what sits in the grid above is bait until the front row cycles.
By the mid-solve frame the board has shifted from blocks to marble columns: six columns still hold Yellow, Brown, Red, Green, Blue, Light Blue, Pink, Purple, and Orange, with three mystery boxes left in the left-hand columns and the numbered bomb marble still riding the top-right stack. A lower queue tray feeds marbles toward the receiver boxes in batches, so the level is as much about belt order as it is about the grid above.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 226
The board is rigged to make you reveal faster than you can sort. Here is the layout:
- Mystery ’?’ tiles cap the columns: you cannot plan the top of the board until you tap it, so every early reveal is a gamble.
- Numbered bomb marbles (labeled “3”) sit in the stacks: they pay several tiles into a receiver at once, but you should bank them against a matching Box rather than dumping them blind.
- Only a few colors have receivers at the start: Green, Cyan, and Yellow open the level; Orange, Purple, Blue, Brown, and the rest are bait until the front row cycles toward them.
- The queue feeds mixed colors: the lower tray runs batches of several colors at once, so an early tap on the wrong batch jams the belt before the grid clears.
Marble Sort Level 226 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Reveal the board before you commit to it. Follow the release order.
Opening: clear the visible blocks

- Tap the visible Green and Yellow blocks straight into their matching receivers — they are the only completely safe drops on the opening board.
- Work the Cyan blocks the same way as they surface; Cyan receivers sit near the front of the bottom tray.
- Leave the mystery ’?’ tiles alone until a receiver opens. If a reveal matches an open Box, drop it; if not, leave the column and come back.
- Bank the numbered bomb marbles (labeled “3”) as soon as a matching Box sits at the front — each one clears several tiles at once and thins the grid fast.
- Treat Orange, Purple, and Blue as bait in the opening. None of them have receivers yet, so do not park them on the queue.
Midgame: work the columns and the queue
By the middle of the solve the board has converted to marble columns and the receivers have cycled. The remaining columns hold Yellow, Brown, Red, Green, Blue, Light Blue, Pink, Purple, and Orange, and the queue tray below is feeding marbles in batches.
- Feed each column top-down one marble at a time, and only when its color has an open receiver.
- Use the empty slots in the middle of the grid to shuffle when a column blocks two receiver colors at once.
- Take the queue in its batches: Blue, Light Blue, and Pink arrive in runs, so a full matching batch finishes a Box in a single pass.
- Keep the numbered bomb marble in mind — it still rides the top-right stack, so clear it before the late game stacks everything on top of it.
- Peel the remaining mystery boxes one at a time and drop the reveal only if it matches the active front row.
Cleanup: drain the funnel tray
The end frame shows the board stripped down to a funnel-shaped tray with only a handful of columns left — Orange, Pink, and Green on the left, a lone Blue in the center, and Light Blue, Pink, and Purple on the right — with a sliding feeder row still delivering the last batches.
- Play every remaining marble into the active front row; the funnel makes each drop count, so do not stack colors whose receivers have already closed.
- Let the feeder cycle the last Light Blues, Pinks, Purples, and Greens into their Boxes as they slide forward.
- Finish the final receivers as the stragglers drop and let the tray empty. The level completes the moment the last marble lands.

Level 226 Tips Recap
- Reveal before you commit: columns start under ’?’ tiles, so never plan a combo on colors you cannot see.
- Only feed colors with an open receiver — Green, Cyan, and Yellow open the level; the rest wait for the midgame.
- Bank the numbered bomb marbles early; they pay several tiles into whichever Box is front and center.
- In the endgame the tray narrows to a funnel — cycle the feeder and play only to the active front row.
