Marble Sort Level 169 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 169 Board Overview: Crates, Conveyor, and Four Boxes

Marble Sort level 169 opening board — Crates, Conveyor, and Four Boxes

Level 169 plays differently from the column-heavy levels. Instead of loose marbles stacked in towers, the tray is stocked with solid crates — 2x2 and 3x3 blocks of same-color marbles — scattered across the grid. A conveyor belt at the bottom feeds fresh marble groups into play, and four receiver boxes line the very bottom edge.

Two wooden crates seal part of the board from the start: one sits in the upper-middle of the tray, another on the middle-right. They hide whatever sits behind them and force you to play the exposed rim for the opening. Numbered striped tiles marked “3” also occupy slots on the left and right edges; treat them as fixed obstacles that shrink the usable space.

The opening conveyor queue runs purple, black, yellow, orange, green, green, yellow. The tray itself is stocked with red, blue, green, brown, yellow, purple, gray, and light-blue/cyan crates — but only a handful of those colors have a receiver box waiting for them early.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 169

The level is rigged to make you feed the conveyor faster than the boxes can take it:

  • The queue outpaces the boxes: purple, black, yellow, orange, and green all ride in at the start, but the four receiver boxes only accept a few colors at a time. Dump every queued group the moment it arrives and the line jams.
  • Orphan colors with no home: brown, pink, and several grays sit in the tray with no receiver box early on. They look reachable, but pulling them is pure belt poison.
  • Crate-covered slots: the upper-middle and middle-right wooden crates hide marbles you may need, so the board never shows you everything up front.
  • Numbered striped tiles: the tiles marked “3” on the left and right never leave during the opening. They block full columns and make the rim the only safe territory.

Marble Sort Level 169 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Read the queue, then play only what the boxes can accept.

Opening: play the exposed rim

Marble Sort level 169 mid-solve board

  1. Check the conveyor order before touching anything: purple, black, yellow, orange, green, then green and yellow again. That order is your release schedule.
  2. Look at the four receiver boxes and note which colors they want right now — those are the only safe targets for the first several moves.
  3. Move the low crates along the bottom rim into their matching boxes first; they have clear paths and never cost you a queue slot.
  4. Feed the first queued purple group into a purple slot the moment its box is ready.
  5. Match the black/dark-gray group next, then the yellow — yellow appears twice in the opening queue, so it is a reliable filler color.
  6. Leave brown, pink, and any gray without a visible box alone, even when a crate sits right on the rim.
  7. Work the left and right columns where the red, blue, and light-green crates sit low enough to reach without touching the blocked middle.

Midgame: unwrap the middle

Once the lower boxes cycle and start accepting more colors, the center opens up.

  1. Clear the upper-middle wooden crate first — it guards the biggest slice of hidden board.
  2. Deal with the middle-right crate second; it seals the right side and holding it back keeps your options open.
  3. The queue shifts to paired groups of light blue, yellow, red, and dark blue. Light blue and red become the new priorities; feed them as their boxes come to the front.
  4. Keep every receiver box dedicated to one color — never scatter a color across two boxes, or you will burn queue slots undoing it.
  5. Use the numbered striped tiles as your anchor: plan moves around them instead of trying to free their slots early.

Cleanup: finish one box at a time

The endgame tray is mostly empty, with a few lone crates and the final conveyor groups left.

  1. Complete whichever receiver box is already nearest to solid (one box is fully done at this stage of the level) so it stops competing for your attention.
  2. Clear the remaining three boxes one color at a time, feeding the final light blue, yellow, red, and dark blue groups strictly in conveyor order.
  3. Do not jump ahead in the queue for a color you want — skipping the next group is what clogs the belt.
  4. Let the last paired groups drop and confirm all four boxes sit solid before the level closes.

Level 169 Tips Recap

  • Read the conveyor before you play: the queue order tells you exactly which colors are safe to feed right now.
  • One receiver box, one color — scattering a color across two boxes is the fastest way to jam the belt.
  • The wooden crates are the real obstacles; the upper-middle and middle-right seals come off only in the midgame.
  • The numbered striped tiles are permanent space-fillers early — work around them, never through them.
