Level 162 Board Overview: The Block-Bursting Conveyor

Level 162 opens with a five-column tray packed edge to edge with 2x2 marble blocks. Every block is a four-marble cluster of a single color, and tapping one bursts all four at once. Purple, Green, Pink, Orange, Red, Brown, White, Dark Grey, and Light Green all sit in block form across the grid, waiting to flood the belt.

The belt below is already loaded before you make your first tap: eight Black marbles, one Orange, and seven Green are queued up. That queue is the level’s whole opening problem — you have to find homes for Black, Orange, and Green before you can break anything for fun. Two vertical tracks on the left and right of the tray each hold a Yellow marble sealed behind a grey slider; those Yellows are the level’s long-term project, not its opening.

Down at the receiver wall, boxes run in columns and every box wants four marbles of its assigned color. The colors you need early — Dark Grey/Black, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, White — all have boxes available. The trap is that each block releases four marbles at once, so belt space evaporates four slots per tap if the matching box is not at the front.

• Every block bursts four marbles at once. One careless tap dumps a full color onto the belt. If that color’s box is not in the front rows, you have just burned four belt slots.
• The opening queue is eight Black deep. Black pressure comes from the first frame. Let the Black marbles pile up while you chase other colors and the belt locks before the midgame.
• Two Yellow marbles sit locked in vertical tracks. They are sealed behind grey sliders and cannot be moved early. Treat the tracks as dead space until the sliders clear.
• Red arrives as a 16-marble burst. Two Red blocks sit mid-grid, and breaking them floods the belt with sixteen Red marbles at once. Release them only when Red boxes are open.
• White rides the belt in a six-deep chain. A White chain with a Brown on each end cycles through the midgame — a whole conveyor’s worth of marbles that must all reach White boxes in sequence.

Opening: clear the queue pressure

1. Read the conveyor before touching the tray: eight Black, one Orange, and seven Green are already queued. Keep a Dark Grey/Black box cycling in the front rows from the very start.
2. Feed the Green that is already on the belt — the Green blocks in the tray top it up, so break them first.
3. Drop the Orange from the queue into an Orange box to get that color moving.
4. Break the Pink block at the top of the second column into a Pink box.
5. Tap the Purple blocks in the first two columns into their boxes.
6. Do not touch the Yellow marbles in the vertical tracks — they are sealed behind the grey sliders and will only jam the belt if forced.

Midgame: ride the belt chains

7. When the upper belt delivers a Brown, White, White, White, White, White, White, Brown chain, feed the two Browns first, then let the six Whites flow into the open White boxes.
8. Make Orange your first finish. Seven Oranges already ride the lower belt and an Orange box is three-quarters full — every time an Orange box reaches the front, top it off with the Orange block near the bottom of the tray.
9. Release the two Red blocks only when Red boxes are at the front — the sixteen-marble burst clears fast if you time it, and jams everything if you do not.
10. Drop the Light Sky-Blue blocks into their boxes as they cycle forward, and feed the Dark Green blocks into the green boxes.
11. Leave the Dark Purple and Dark Crimson Red blocks alone for now — their boxes open late, and breaking them early just parks eight marbles on the belt.
