Marble Sort Level 170 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 170 Board Overview: Crates, Mystery Tiles, and a Waiting Queue

Level 170 is marked Very Hard, and the opening board earns the skull. The top tray is a mixed grid of ringed marbles — Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, and Pink all sit within reach — but the tray is also studded with wooden crates and white mystery ”?” tiles that hide what sits underneath until the board shifts.
Below the tray, the conveyor belt feeds the action in pairs. It opens with Blue pairs on the left, Red pairs on the right, and Orange pairs queued behind them, rolling forward in two-marble stacks that you have to place as they arrive.
The receiver Boxes along the bottom open the level asking for Pink, Dark Blue, Red, Blue, White, Orange, Cyan, Teal, and Yellow. That first row is generous, but the rows behind it are where the level hides its teeth: Green and Purple marbles are already on the board, yet no Green or Purple Box exists until the front rows cycle away.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 170
The board is arranged to make you spend moves before you know what you are doing. Here is what it is hiding:
- Mystery ”?” tiles: Several tray slots are covered by ”?” tiles. Clearing nearby marbles flips them over, and each one reveals a surprise marble that you did not budget for. A ”?” flipped at the wrong time can block the column you were about to use.
- Wooden crates: The blue and orange crates (plus a pink crate on the right) seal off tray slots completely. You cannot see or touch what is beneath them until the crate clears, which makes the covered columns blind guesses early on.
- Queue pairs without homes: The conveyor opens with Blue, Red, and Orange pairs. Every pair you cannot deliver the moment it rolls forward becomes traffic that jams the belt behind it.
- Bait colors: Green and Purple ride the tray and the queue from early on, but their Boxes only show up after the first rows of receivers cycle. Chase them at the start and you are stuck holding marbles with nowhere to go.
Marble Sort Level 170 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Play to the front Box row first, and let the conveyor set your pace.
Opening: clear the first Box row

- Survey the front row of receiver Boxes — Pink, Dark Blue, Red, Blue, White, Orange, Cyan, Teal, and Yellow all have homes right now.
- Deliver the visible tray marbles that match: the Blue, Red, and Yellow rings are all fair game from the first taps.
- Take the Pink marbles on the tray into the Pink Boxes; Pink is the most requested color in the opening rows, so every Pink you free is progress.
- Feed the conveyor in order: place the Blue pairs first, then the Red pairs, then the Orange pairs as they roll into position.
- Do not touch the Green or Purple marbles yet — there is no Box for them until the first rows cycle.
- Leave every ”?” tile alone while matching Boxes are still open. Every move spent flipping a mystery tile is a move not spent claiming a guaranteed delivery.
Midgame: crack the tiles and cycle the boxes
Once the front Boxes start to fill, the rows behind them shift forward — and Green and Purple Boxes finally join the lineup.
- As soon as a Green or Purple Box appears in the front row, feed it the marbles you have been holding. Green and Purple clear in a hurry once their windows open.
- Tap the mystery ”?” tiles now, one at a time, in columns you have already emptied. Each reveal drops an extra marble into play — expect more Pink, White, and Orange copies of the colors already in rotation.
- Reclaim the cleared crate slots as the crates come off the board, and check what marble was sitting underneath before committing to that column.
- Keep the belt moving: the opening Blue/Red/Orange run gives way to Pink and White pairs, and those need their Boxes claimed the moment they arrive.
- Watch the middle of the tray for Purple and Teal riding down together — deliver them when their boxes sit in the front row, and skip them when they do not.
Cleanup: finish the tail
With the tray mostly stripped, the level becomes a simple countdown.
- The last clusters on the tray are Dark Green, Light Green, Pink, Red, Yellow, and Cyan. Keep them moving only when their Boxes are front-row.
- Let the remaining queue pairs — Blue, White, Red, Purple, and Green — cycle in order, matching each pair as its Box rotates to the front.
- Never stockpile a color with no visible Box. If a marble has no home in the front or second row, leave it on the tray.
- Play the stragglers one by one until the final Box row accepts the last marbles and the level clears.

Level 170 Tips Recap
- Never open a ”?” tile without a plan — a surprise color can jam the exact column you needed next.
- Feed conveyor pairs in the order they arrive; do not let a pair sit on the belt while its Box is in the front row.
- Green and Purple are bait in the opening — they only get Boxes after the first receiver rows cycle forward.
- Late game, play to the front row only. Colors without a visible Box can wait on the tray while the rows cycle.
