Marble Sort Level 429 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 429 Board Overview: The Bolted Center Crate

Level 429 opens on the tile-and-block variant of the board, played as a six-column grid of flat colored blocks instead of a classic tray of tubes. The visible field is only partly filled at the start: a top row of Green, Blue, White, and Pink blocks, an Orange and a Light Blue sitting one row down on the right, and low clusters of Light Blue and Red-Brown hugging the bottom of the grid near the launcher.
The obstacle that owns the level is parked dead center: a chunky 2×2 grey crate with metal bolts in all four corners and the number 2 stamped on its face. A second, smaller grey crate marked 2 waits at the top-left of the grid. Every marble you fire comes from the fixed queue tracking along the launcher at the base, and the opening run is stacked with Light Blue before the feed shifts to White, Grey, and Purple.
More block clusters queue along the very bottom of the screen — Red, White, Yellow, and Cyan in the first column, then Grey, Pink, and Green batches behind them — and they slide onto the field as the grid opens up. The whole level is a pacing problem: fire each queue run into its matching blocks, spend the leftover hits on the numbered crates, and keep the grid from refilling faster than you clear it.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 429
The board is rigged to make you waste queue colors on the wrong targets. Here is the layout:
- The bolted center crate eats two hits: the 2×2 grey crate in the middle of the field is marked 2 and bolted down, so it takes multiple matched hits before it gives way — and while it stands it crowds the center of every shot line.
- The numbered grey crates tick down slowly: the top-left crate marked 2 is a two-hitter too. Every ball sunk into a crate is a ball not clearing a colored block, so firing crates while colored targets are still reachable stalls the whole grid.
- The queue is a fixed order, not a choice: the opening run is Light Blue-heavy and then cycles White, Grey, and Purple. If you let a Light Blue pass while Light Blue blocks still stand, you wait through the whole loop for another chance.
- Fresh clusters arrive from the base: four more block columns are queued at the bottom of the screen and join the field as space clears, so a slow start turns into a board that keeps refilling.
Marble Sort Level 429 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Match the queue to the blocks and bank every spare hit on the crates. Follow the release order.
Opening: ride the Light Blue run

- Survey the opening grid before firing: Green, Blue, White, and Pink across the top row, Orange and Light Blue mid-right, and Light Blue plus Red-Brown low near the launcher.
- Spend the opening Light Blue-heavy queue on the Light Blue blocks first — start with the low Light Blue nearest the launcher, then the mid-right Light Blue, so the easy targets fall while the run is live.
- Do not sink the early Light Blues into the grey crates. Colored Light Blue blocks are rare on this board; the crates will take hits from any color later.
- When the queue shifts to White, fire the Whites at the White block in the top row before the feed cycles on.
- Leave the numbered crates and the bolted center block alone until every reachable colored block of the current queue color is gone.
Midgame: open the middle, grind the crates
The mid-solve frame shows the board halfway through: the center-right of the grid has opened into empty space, leaving the two grey crates standing on the left and upper right, with Blue blocks still stacked mid-left, a Pink and an Orange holding the right, and a lone Purple sitting at the bottom-left. The queue is now running Green, Red, and mixed colors.
- Chip the numbered grey crates down with any spare ball whose color has no block left — they tick from 2 to 1 and finally pop, opening the columns stacked around them.
- Work the Blue column next to the crates: hit the top Blue first so the blocks below it fall into reach instead of sitting buried.
- Clear the right-side Orange, Light Blue, and Pink blocks as their colors cycle through the queue — they are single targets now that the middle is gone.
- Drop the Purple at the bottom-left when a Purple arrives in the feed; it is the last color hiding in the lower corner.
- Keep shots on the bolted center crate whenever the queue serves a color with no matching block left — every hit that lands counts toward its number.
Cleanup: drain the last big blocks
The end frame catches the run still mid-solve rather than at a victory screen: three large blocks remain on the field — a big Blue mass on the left, the dark grey center block, and a Green block on the right — while a pocket of Orange marbles waits in the lower-right corner and Pink marbles line the feed into the launcher. The queue is still cycling through Cyan, Pink, Purple, White, and the darker greys.
- Play the queue in order and never skip a color that still has a matching block — the Cyan, Purple, and White runs are exactly what the last three big blocks need.
- Spend any color that no longer matches a block on the grey center block; it is the last crate standing and accepts every spare hit.
- Let the Orange and Pink pockets at the base feed naturally — they are already in position for the final blocks near the launcher.
- Keep firing until the Blue, grey, and Green masses pop; with the field down to those three, the level finishes the moment the last hit lands.

Level 429 Tips Recap
- The numbered crates (1s and 2s) accept any color, but they only tick down one hit at a time — fire them with leftovers, never with a color that still has a matching block.
- Ride the fixed queue instead of fighting it: the Light Blue opening run belongs on Light Blue blocks, and every later run belongs on its own color.
- The bolted center crate is the anchor of the whole board — start chipping it in the midgame so it never outlives the colored blocks around it.
- Watch the clusters queued at the base: clear the upper grid in rhythm, or the field refills before you reach the last big blocks.
