Marble Sort Level 198 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 198 Board Overview: The Countdown Crates

Level 198 opens with a tray that looks calm and plays mean. The left column holds a clean Yellow-over-Purple-over-Brown stack, the right side of the tray carries Reds and Oranges, and the center is sealed in a blue-framed locked block holding Green, Pink, Purple, and Cyan marbles you cannot touch yet.
The real obstacle sits on the right: two numbered blue crates cover the top slots of the right stack. They are countdown locks — every Box you clear ticks their numbers down, and they only open once their counters hit zero. The board rewards clears, not cleverness.
The receiver Boxes at the bottom open asking for Brown, Pink, Purple, Yellow, Blue, and Cyan, while a stream of Yellow marbles rolls in from the top of the belt. That is your safe opening. Everything behind the crates and inside the locked block is the late game.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 198
The board is arranged to make you burn your belt on locked colors. Here is the layout:
- Two numbered crates on the right: the crate labeled 1 sits over the left of the right stack, and the crate labeled 3 sits beside it. Neither opens until you complete Boxes, and the bigger counter demands three clears before it gives up its Oranges.
- Sealed center block: the blue-framed zone in the middle locks Green, Pink, Purple, and Cyan away from the start. There is no way to dig into it early, and its marbles arrive only when the counters have almost finished.
- Left-stack bait: the Yellow, Purple, and Brown column looks like the obvious first target — and it is — but the moment you empty it, the belt starts filling with Purples, Browns, and Pinks that have to be placed quickly.
- Belt traffic: Purples, Yellows, Browns, and Pinks pile up on the conveyor fast. A single missed delivery jams the belt and stalls every crate counter.
Marble Sort Level 198 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Every move should be earning a Box clear, because Box clears are the only thing that opens the crates.
Opening: clear the front Boxes

- Survey the front row of receiver Boxes — Brown, Pink, Purple, Yellow, Blue, and Cyan all have homes from the first tap.
- Tap the Yellow on top of the left stack into a Yellow Box. It is the cleanest first move on the board.
- Take the Purple beneath it into a Purple Box, then the Brown at the base of the left column into a Brown Box.
- Feed the incoming Yellow marbles as they roll down the belt — the opening queue is heavy with Yellows and the Yellow Boxes clear in a hurry.
- Grab the Reds and Cyans you can reach on the open side of the tray, but leave the right stack alone while the crates still cover its top slots.
- Do not touch the sealed center block. Its Green, Pink, Purple, and Cyan have no early Boxes, and forcing them is the fastest way to jam the belt.
Midgame: crack the crates with clears
The first crate (originally labeled 1) drops to 0 after your early deliveries, and the Oranges underneath finally come into play.
- As soon as the first crate opens, feed the Oranges it reveals into the Orange Boxes that have cycled into the front row.
- Keep delivering to the active front row — Light Blue, Dark Blue, and Orange Boxes join the lineup now, and the Light Blues on the right column have homes at last.
- Manage the belt every step: Purples, Yellows, Browns, and Pinks stack up in twos and threes, so place each color the moment its Box sits front-row.
- Keep clearing to tick the second crate down from 3. It takes three more Box clears — every stray delivery you can avoid shortens the wait.
- When the center block finally releases, its Green, Pink, Purple, and Cyan arrive in a burst. Deliver them only as their Boxes sit in the front or second row.
Cleanup: drain the tray
With the crates gone and the center open, the level becomes a countdown of its own.
- Play to the front row only from here. A color with no visible Box stays on the tray while the rows cycle.
- Feed the remaining Orange, Green, and Brown clusters as their Boxes rotate forward — they are the last heavy groups on the board.
- Keep the Yellow queue moving, and clear the final Reds and Pinks one at a time as their boxes arrive.
- Finish the stragglers in the open middle until the last Boxes accept the final marbles and the board clears.

Level 198 Tips Recap
- The numbered crates only open through Box clears, so every early move should target a Box that is already asking for that color.
- The center of the tray is sealed until the midgame — never wait on its Green, Pink, Purple, or Cyan.
- Keep the belt under control: Purples, Yellows, Browns, and Pinks pile up fast, and a jammed belt stalls the crate counters.
- Late game, only release a marble whose Box is visible in the front rows.
