Marble Sort Level 176 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 176 Board Overview: The Twin-Crate Tray

Marble Sort level 176 opening board — The Twin-Crate Tray

Level 176 opens on a full five-row tray with a hard middle: two heavy wooden crates, both stamped with a 4, are planted mid-board — one on the left side of the center row, the other up in the right-center columns. Each crate needs repeated clears to wear down, and until it breaks, the tiles around it stay boxed in.

The visible tray is a mixed palette: Red tiles sit on both sides of the left crate, Pink tiles flank the right crate, and Blue, Light Blue, Green, Purple, Orange, White, and a lone Dark Red (Maroon) tile fill out the rest of the grid. Arrow tiles are scattered through the mid-columns — some Blue, one Red, one Green — and they redirect drops sideways instead of letting everything fall straight down.

Below the tray, the belt is loaded for you: pure runs of Red, Green, Purple, Pink, and Yellow ride the queue three tiles at a time, with mixed stacks of Cyan, Green, Pink, Yellow, and Orange stacked behind them. Yellow never appears on the opening tray at all — every Yellow you need comes from the belt. The level is a pacing problem: the crates block the middle, the arrows bend your drops, and the belt keeps feeding while you chip away.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 176

The board is rigged to make you tap faster than you can place. Here is the layout:

  • Two 4-durability crates wall off the mid-tray: one sits in the left-center, the other up in the right-center columns. Neither breaks in a single hit — they wear down one clear at a time while the belt keeps moving.
  • Maroon and Orange are opening bait: the Dark Red tile is buried at the base of the center column and Orange sits in the right-center column, but neither has a Box until the midgame. Tap them early and they park on your belt with nowhere to go.
  • Arrow tiles bend your drops: the Blue and Red arrow tiles in the mid-columns send tiles sideways, so a column does not always feed the Box directly beneath it. Aim around the arrows, not through them.
  • Yellow arrives only from the belt: no Yellow tile starts on the tray, so every Yellow must be caught off the queue — and the belt hands it to you in a run of three.
  • The mixed stacks come right after the pure runs: the queue front is safe (Red, Green, Purple, Pink, Yellow in threes), but Cyan, Orange, and Yellow mix into the stacks behind it. Greedy tapping into the mixed section jams the belt before the crates break.

Marble Sort Level 176 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Run the pure stacks first, chip the crates in parallel, and let the midgame Boxes claim the bait.

Opening: run the pure stacks, dodge the bait

  1. Tap the Red run off the belt — Red tiles sit on both sides of the left crate, so the Red Box closes early and takes a full stack in one pass.
  2. Feed the Green run next. Green sits at the base of the left columns, and the belt’s run of three finishes the job fast.
  3. Clear the Purple run into the Purple tile at the top of the right-center column.
  4. Run the Pink stack — the Pinks in the tray match the belt’s Pink run, so two or three taps empty a whole color from the board.
  5. Hold the Yellow stack on the belt: with no Yellow on the opening tray, only tap it once a Yellow Box cycles to the front row.
  6. Do not touch the Maroon at the base of the center column or the Orange in the right-center column — neither has a Box yet.
  7. Play around the arrow tiles: when a Blue or Red arrow sits in your drop lane, feed the tile that the arrow points toward instead of forcing the column straight down.
  8. Chip the crates with every clear you can: any match made next to a crate hits it, so prefer color runs that sit adjacent to the crates while you sort.

Midgame: break the crates, thin the columns

By the middle frame the bottom row is gone and the columns have thinned out, but both crates are still standing — worn down from 4 to 3 and 1 as the clears land. The Boxes have rotated toward Dark Green and Maroon.

  1. Keep chipping the two crates — once a crate’s number hits zero it breaks and frees the tiles trapped behind it.
  2. Feed Dark Green as its Box slides to the front; the Green tiles at the base of the left columns feed it directly.
  3. Now the Maroon bait finally has a home — drop the Dark Red tile from the base of the center column into the Maroon Box as soon as it opens.
  4. Take the mixed belt stacks carefully: only tap a stack whose top color matches a front-row Box. Cyan, Orange, and Yellow mixed runs are easy to misplace — let them cycle if the Box is not up.
  5. Clear full rows when they line up — emptying a whole row gives the crates less cover and opens the tray for the stragglers above.

Cleanup: feed the stragglers

The end frame shows the tray stripped down to a handful of singles — a few weak crates down to their last hits, scattered Blue, Green, Light Blue, Red, Pink, and Yellow tiles, and the belt still running. No win banner yet: the level is finishing, not finished.

  1. Play only to the active front-row Boxes from here — every remaining tile is a single waiting for its Box to slide forward.
  2. Let the belt cycle the last Reds, Greens, and Pinks; do not chase a color whose Box has already closed.
  3. Finish the last crates with one or two final clears, feed the final tiles as they drop, and let the tray empty. The level completes the moment the last tile lands.

Level 176 Tips Recap

  • The belt opens with pure runs of Red, Green, Purple, Pink, and Yellow — bank each run only when its Box is in the front row.
  • Maroon and Orange are opening bait; Maroon gets its home in the midgame, so leave both alone until then.
  • The two crates take four hits each — chip them with every adjacent clear instead of wasting moves trying to force them.
  • In the endgame the tray is nearly empty; cycle the belt and feed the last singles into their Boxes.
