Marble Sort Level 487 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 487 Board Overview: The Cross-Grid Funnel

Marble Sort level 487 opening board — The Cross-Grid Funnel

Level 487 plays on the block-and-tile variant of the board, and it is a crowded one. The play area is a cross-shaped grid: six horizontal rows run across a core of five columns, with two extra side columns holding numbered tiles at the far left and far right. The grid is packed with colored blocks — red-orange, light blue, red, yellow, dark purple, green, pink, and white — alongside grey mystery ’?’ tiles and blue numbered tiles reading 2 and 3.

The action is driven from the middle of the screen. A white funnel labelled MarbleSort.com sits at the center of the grid, and a horizontal conveyor belt feeds marbles into it from the left. On the opening frames the belt is already carrying a queue of red marbles, with more colors — yellow, orange, green, red, and purple — riding behind them. Whatever the belt delivers drops through the funnel straight into the grid above, so the board keeps changing even while you are sorting the tiles below.

Below the belt, four vertical columns of five stacked blocks wait to be moved up into the grid: a green-orange-pink-red-red column, an orange-white-pink-purple-purple column, an orange-purple-white-white-purple column, and a red-red-orange-white-green column. The receiver boxes at the top of the grid ask for specific colors and fill as tiles land, which means the winning plan is to feed the open receivers while steadily emptying the bottom stacks into the cross grid.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 487

This board punishes players who try to sort everything at once. Here is the layout:

  • Mystery ’?’ tiles hide the top rows: grey question-mark tiles sit across the upper grid, and you cannot plan the top of the board until you reveal what is underneath them.
  • The conveyor never stops: marbles roll down the belt, through the funnel, and into the grid continuously. If you leave colors on the belt that no receiver wants yet, the queue jams and the board fills faster than you can clear it.
  • Numbered blocks are valuable but buried: the blue side tiles marked 2 and 3 count as several tiles in one drop, but they sit at the edges of the cross grid, away from the center columns where the receivers live.
  • The bottom stacks hide the colors you need: the four columns below the belt are built from mixed colors, and every target color sits underneath two or three blocks you do not want to move yet.

Marble Sort Level 487 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Keep the belt moving and clear the grid in layers. Follow the release order below.

Opening: clear the visible colors

Marble Sort level 487 mid-solve board

  1. Feed the colors that have open receiver boxes at the top first — they are the only completely safe drops on the board.
  2. Reveal the mystery ’?’ tiles on the upper rows as soon as you can; if a reveal matches an open receiver, drop it immediately.
  3. Do not park blocks on the belt. A color that has no receiver yet is bait — leave it in the grid and come back when its box cycles to the front.
  4. Watch the conveyor queue and tap the front marble only when its color matches the active receiver. Let the rest ride past.
  5. Work the grid one column at a time so you never create a column that is impossible to finish.

Midgame: let the funnel cycle toward the stacks

By the middle of the solve the upper grid has thinned out and the receivers have cycled through several colors. The belt is now running a mixed sequence — yellow, orange, green, red, purple — and the funnel is dropping tiles into the grid while the bottom columns still hold their full stacks.

  1. Feed the bottom columns into the grid in small batches, matching each block against the receiver that is currently front and center.
  2. Take the conveyor in runs: a full matching run of one color finishes a receiver in a single pass and frees the queue.
  3. Use the numbered blocks when their side column lines up with an open receiver — each one clears several tiles at once.
  4. Treat every grey mystery tile as an unknown: reveal it, check the color, and only play it when the front receiver matches.
  5. Prioritize columns that expose two matching tiles in a row — clearing them empties a stack and opens space on the grid.

Cleanup: finish the receivers

The end frames show the board still mid-solve: the funnel dropping blue and green marbles, the belt carrying green and light blue, and the receivers taking their final tiles. The last phase is a straight finishing line.

  1. Every remaining tile is a single waiting for its receiver to slide to the front — play only to the active row of boxes.
  2. Let the queue cycle through the last greens, blues, and light blues as their receivers open; do not chase colors whose boxes have already closed.
  3. Finish each receiver as its final tiles drop and let the grid empty. The level completes the moment the last tile lands.

Level 487 Tips Recap

  • Reveal before you commit: mystery ’?’ tiles cap the top rows, so never plan a combo on colors you cannot see.
  • Feed only colors with an open receiver — the conveyor and funnel keep pressure on, so a parked tile turns into a jam.
  • Bank the numbered side blocks whenever their column lines up with the front receiver — they clear several tiles in one drop.
  • In the endgame the board is nearly empty; just cycle the belt and feed the last singles into their receivers.
