Marble Sort Level 182 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 182 Board Overview: A Grid That Starts Half-Sorted

Marble Sort level 182 opening board — A Grid That Starts Half-Sorted

Level 182 opens with two very different halves. Up top, a shelf of loose marbles feeds a five-column sorting grid, and that grid starts completely packed: a top band of Pink, Red, and Green, a middle band mixing Yellow, Purple, Orange, and Blue, and a bottom band of Blue, Green, and Pink. Nothing sits where it belongs, but nothing is locked either — every marble in the grid can move.

Below the grid, the board is a different story. The bottom columns already hold long, tidy runs: one column has a stack of five Purples sitting in place, and the columns beside it carry matching Green runs. At the very bottom of the left and right columns sit Yellow, Orange, Red, Maroon, and Pink clusters that were clearly parked there earlier. The level is a race between finishing those pre-stacked columns and stopping the mixed grid from strangling the board.

Three wooden crates frame marbles just under the top shelf. They look like obstacles, but they never change during the solve — treat them as decoration and play around them.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 182

The opening board is designed to look closer to done than it is:

  • The Purple and Green runs in the lower columns look finished, but are not. More Purples and Greens are still buried in the middle grid and on the top shelf. Pull them home early and the bottom columns finish themselves.
  • Wrong-color marbles sit inside the lower stacks. Red, Pink, and Maroon marbles are wedged into the bottom bank next to the good runs. Every one of them has to be lifted out and parked somewhere else before its column can complete.
  • The five-wide grid is dense enough to jam the board. With Pink, Red, Green, Yellow, Purple, Orange, and Blue all sharing three bands, chasing colors by eye will leave you cycling the same few holes. You have to clear whole bands, not single marbles.
  • Pink, Lavender, Maroon, and Lime have almost no permanent home. They exist only to clog the grid, so moving them is pure cleanup work — do it deliberately, not reactively.

Marble Sort Level 182 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play the pre-stacked columns, then the grid, then the cleanup. Keep that order and the level stays calm.

Opening: finish what the board already started

Marble Sort level 182 mid-solve board

  1. Start with the bottom bank, not the grid. The tallest Purple stack is already five deep — tap the Purples that are visible in the middle bands of the grid and drop them straight onto it.
  2. Do the same for the Green runs sitting beside the Purple column. Collect every Green you can reach from the top band and the middle of the grid.
  3. Clear the Yellow and Orange marbles from the grid’s middle band next — both have partial stacks waiting at the bottom of the left and right columns.
  4. While you are there, lift the stray Red and Pink marbles out of the lower columns. Park them in the emptiest grid holes for now; they get homes later.
  5. Do not touch the three crates under the shelf. The marbles they frame never become playable.

Midgame: cycle the off-colors out of the grid

Once the Yellow, Orange, Blue, and Green are flowing into their stacks, the grid loosens up and the real work begins.

  1. Relocate the Lavender marbles. They sit in the middle bands with no stack anywhere — move them into a single holding hole so they stop blocking the colors you need.
  2. Push the Maroon and Lime marbles into the same holding area. Keep them together; the fewer holes they occupy, the more room the grid has.
  3. Build the long Pink and Blue runs in the lower columns. As the grid thins, feed every Pink and Blue you uncover into those stacks.
  4. Watch the pre-stacked Purple column: it will clear the grid of Purples faster than anything else. Keep it topped up whenever a Purple is reachable.
  5. If a column looks stuck, move a marble out before moving the one you actually want — the grid has enough spare holes now to stage two moves.

Cleanup: let the empty grid do the work

With the grid nearly empty, the remaining marbles concentrate in the lower columns and a short stretch of the feed track.

  1. Empty the middle grid completely. A fully clear grid means every color you still need is visible at once.
  2. Finish the tall stacks one at a time. The left columns complete first, then the right — match each final marble to its column’s dominant color.
  3. If a stray off-color still sits at the base of a finished-looking column, lift it out, pass it through a grid hole, and drop it onto its own color before placing the last marble.
  4. When the last stack closes out, the board clears and the level is done — the run ends right there, so keep the last few moves deliberate.

Level 182 Tips Recap

  • The bottom Purple and Green stacks are the backbone of the level — feed them first and the grid starts to breathe.
  • Park Pink, Lavender, Maroon, and Lime together in one holding hole; they are traffic, not destinations.
  • Clear whole bands of the five-wide grid instead of chasing individual marbles.
  • In the endgame, finish one column at a time and use the empty grid as a staging area for any stray off-color.
