Marble Sort Level 403 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 403 Board Overview: The Center-Locked Tray

Marble Sort level 403 opening board — The Center-Locked Tray

Level 403 opens as a Very Hard fixed-grid board, and the first thing you notice is how much of it you cannot see. The upper half of the tray is buried under grey ’?’ mystery tiles stacked in stepped rows, so the top of the board is a row of reveals waiting to happen. What sits below them is honest and small: a handful of visible columns and one big yellow padlock planted dead center.

The unsealed tiles form a clear ring around the locked middle. On the left, Red, Orange, Yellow, and Blue columns sit exposed; around the center-left you can read Orange and Green; a White tile and Light Blue peek out near the middle and right, with more Green, Dark Blue, and Brown stacked toward the right edge. Behind the yellow padlock, a Purple column is frozen and out of reach. The conveyor at the bottom is preloaded in runs: Pink leads the queue, Purple rides behind it, and Red trails further back.

Two 2x2 receiver stations flank the tray. The left station asks for Red, Yellow, Orange, and Blue — exactly the colors sitting exposed on the left side of the board. The right station asks for Green, Blue, Pink, and Brown. The opening setup lines the left station up with the visible tiles and the right side of the belt, while the colors that look urgent on the grid — Purple, White, Light Blue — have nowhere to land at all.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 403

The board is rigged to make you feed the wrong runs first. Here is the layout:

  • The mystery caps hide the plan: the upper tray is sealed under ’?’ tiles in stepped rows, so you cannot read the top of the board until you tap it. Every early reveal is a gamble.
  • The padlock seals the center: the yellow padlock guards the middle of the tray, and the Purple column behind it stays frozen until the stacks around it clear. Purple also rides the belt early — double bait.
  • The queue front lies: Pink and Purple lead the conveyor, but the left station opens the level with Red, Yellow, Orange, and Blue. The Pink run only earns its keep once the right station cycles forward, and Purple stays trapped even longer.
  • Some colors have no receiver at all at the start: White and Light Blue sit on the grid with no open station in the first wave. Feeding them early just jams the belt.

Marble Sort Level 403 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Feed the left station, ignore the belt’s opening lie, and let the padlock be the finish line. Follow the release order.

Opening: fill the left station

Marble Sort level 403 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the Red, Orange, Yellow, and Blue tiles already exposed on the left side straight into the left 2x2 station. These are the only completely safe drops on the opening board.
  2. Leave the Pink run at the front of the conveyor alone — its station is on the right, which is not active yet. A single Pink on the belt is a jam you cannot afford.
  3. Start peeling the ’?’ mystery caps off the upper tray as the left station fills. If a reveal matches a color the left station still needs, drop it; if not, leave the column and move on.
  4. Do not touch the Purple on the belt or the Purple tile behind the padlock. Purple has no receiver in the first wave, and the center column is sealed anyway.
  5. When Green, Dark Blue, or Brown tiles come within reach on the right side, hold them — they belong to the right station, which cycles in during the midgame.

Midgame: the right station comes forward

Once the left 2x2 completes, the receivers cycle and the right station asks for its set: Green, Blue, Pink, and Brown. The colors that were bait in the opening finally have homes, and the reveals start paying off.

  1. Feed the Pink run into the right station the moment it accepts Pink — the belt-front run that looked like bait now finishes a whole slot.
  2. Work the Green columns on the right into the right station as they come free, and take the Dark Blue tiles beside them the same way.
  3. Clear the Brown tiles stacked on the right edge when Brown is showing — the mid-solve board is won or lost on how fast those right-side stacks feed.
  4. Keep peeling mystery caps, but only over columns whose reveal can feed an active station. Anything revealed early can wait; the tray has no clock.
  5. Leave the center padlock column frozen. The Purple behind it still has nowhere to go until the flanking stacks clear, so do not force it.

Cleanup: break the seal and finish

The closing frames catch the level running clean: the tray is down to scattered stacks with a few mystery caps still on the right, the conveyor is cycling its last runs, and the level ends on a victory reward screen once the final station fills.

  1. Finish the stacks that flank the padlock first — the seal only breaks once its neighbors are down.
  2. When the padlock finally opens, feed whatever rides behind it (the trapped Purple included) into whichever receiver is front and center.
  3. Let the queue cycle through its trailing runs of Red and Pink and drop the final singles as their slots open. When the last 2x2 completes, the level ends cleanly.

Level 403 Tips Recap

  • Reveal before you commit: the upper tray is sealed under ’?’ tiles, so never plan a combo around a column you have not tapped yet.
  • Only feed a color whose station is active — Red, Yellow, Orange, and Blue open the level on the left; Green, Blue, Pink, and Brown cycle in on the right.
  • The Pink run at the front of the queue is safe only in the midgame, and Purple stays bait until the padlock column is cleared.
  • Treat the center padlock as the finish line: clear its flanks and the seal breaks by itself.
