Marble Sort Level 262 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 262 Board Overview: The Mystery-Capped Tray

Level 262 opens as a packed tile board with five visible columns and half the tray hidden from view. The left column runs Purple over Dark Blue over Green, the column beside it stacks Black over Dark Blue over Green, and a lone Red tile sits in the center column. On the right, the fourth column holds Light Pink, Light Blue, Yellow, and Orange, while the rightmost column carries Blue and Brown down to a Dark Blue base.
The catch is that grey mystery ’?’ tiles cap the middle columns, and blue numbered markers ride several stacks, so you cannot fully plan the top of the board before you start tapping. Below the grid, the conveyor belt arrives already loaded — a long run of Yellow and Light Blue tiles with Black and Dark Blue mixed in, and a green crate tile riding the tail of the queue.
Up top, the receiver blocks wait to collect the deliveries, and three one-use boosters (magnet, hook, gumball machine) sit ready. Only a handful of colors have open receivers at the start, so the opening plays like a filter: feed the colors with homes, and let everything else wait on the belt.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 262
The board is rigged to make you reveal faster than you can sort. Here is the layout:
- The middle columns are capped with ’?’ mystery tiles: the center stacks cannot be planned until you tap them, so every early reveal is a gamble.
- The conveyor is pre-loaded with repeat colors: Yellow and Light Blue run in batches, but Black, Brown, and Red show up with no receiver in sight — tap them early and the queue jams.
- The real stacks sit at the edges: Dark Blue and Green are buried near the bottoms of the outer columns, and the center column holds almost nothing but a lone Red.
- The board stays active in the endgame: receivers keep pulling tiles right up to the final delivery, so there is no coasting when the grid looks nearly empty.
Marble Sort Level 262 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Reveal the board before you commit to it. Follow the release order.
Opening: filter the conveyor

- Start with the Yellow and Light Blue tiles already riding the belt — they repeat in runs, so they fill receivers fast.
- Work the left column top-down: feed the Purple tile, then the Dark Blue underneath, then the Green at the base, each only when a matching receiver is open.
- Tap the ’?’ mystery tile on the second column and keep feeding the Black, Dark Blue, and Green it reveals as their receivers cycle forward.
- Leave the center Red column and the Brown on the right alone for now — nothing asks for them yet.
- Let the belt keep moving: the two Dark Blue tiles near the tail of the queue are safe to bank the moment a receiver opens.
Midgame: strip the clusters
By the middle of the solve the tray has thinned to a handful of block clusters — dark red, purple, blue, and light blue groups scattered across the play area — while the conveyor runs mixed Green, Orange, Dark Blue, and Red.
- Reveal the remaining ’?’ tiles on the third and fourth columns; the Light Pink, Light Blue, Yellow, and Orange underneath are your midgame targets.
- Feed Light Blue and Yellow in runs — a full batch finishes a receiver in a single pass and frees serious belt space.
- Strip the block clusters one group at a time, dropping each color only into an open receiver.
- Keep the one-use boosters in reserve — magnet, hook, and gumball each fire once, so spend them on the cluster cleanup, not the opening.
Cleanup: feed the stragglers
The end frame shows an active board, not a victory screen: a few columns of Orange and Yellow plus a Cyan and Yellow stack remain, with Purple and Blue tiles still riding the belt.
- Play only to the active front row — every remaining tile is a single waiting for its receiver to slide forward.
- Feed the final Orange runs into the open columns; the Cyan and Yellow stack finishes last.
- Let the queue cycle: the Purple and Blue tiles on the belt land in the receivers still asking for one or two tiles.
- Keep feeding until the last delivery lands — the level completes the moment the final tile drops.

Level 262 Tips Recap
- Reveal before you commit: the middle columns start under ’?’ mystery tiles, so never plan a combo on colors you cannot see.
- The conveyor is pre-loaded — feed the repeating Yellow, Light Blue, and Dark Blue runs, and leave Black, Brown, and Red until their receivers open.
- Save the three one-use boosters for the midgame cluster cleanup instead of burning them on the opening.
- The board stays active in the endgame: keep cycling the belt and feeding singles until the last receiver closes.
