Marble Sort Level 188 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 188 Board Overview: Mystery Boxes and a Half-Empty Tray

Level 188 opens as a hard-level board that looks calmer than it plays. The tray is only partly filled — several columns start with gaps in them and one side of the grid sits open — but the middle of the board is loaded with special elements: two green x2 blocks sit inside the tray, and the second row of receiver Boxes is made of mystery ’?’ boxes that hide a quarter of the color plan from you.
The front row of Boxes asks for Green, Light Blue, Pink, and Gray. Behind them the visible stacks are heavy with Dark Red, Blue, Yellow, and Purple, while a row of mystery ’?’ boxes keeps the middle of the plan secret. Down at the bottom, the queue is already loaded in neat batches of Yellow, Green, and Light Blue, ready to feed the funnel as soon as you open it.
The trap is the White. White marbles sit plainly visible in the middle columns, yet no White Box exists anywhere in the visible stacks — they are the level’s bait, sitting in the same columns as the colors you actually need.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 188
The board is rigged to make you feed colors that have nowhere to go. Here is the layout:
- White marbles with no Box: White sits in the middle columns (buried near the Light Blues and Greens) but every Box in the visible stacks belongs to another color. Tap one and you park a dead marble in the funnel.
- Mystery ’?’ Boxes in the second row: four of the sixteen Boxes are hidden behind question marks. You cannot plan the midgame until the front row clears and they slide forward.
- Dark Red Boxes stacked behind the front row: Red is the most common Box color, but every Red Box starts in the second and third rows, so Red is only safe once the front row cycles.
- The x2 Green blocks: two multiplier blocks sit in the tray’s middle columns. Any Green that falls through them counts double — great when you aim them at the Green Box, wasteful when they feed nothing.
Marble Sort Level 188 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Feed the front row before anything else. Follow the release order.
Opening: clear the front row

- Tap the Green marbles you can reach into the front-left Green Box. Greens sit in the middle columns, and the x2 blocks will double every Green that drops through them.
- Feed the Light Blue (Cyan) marbles into their Box — more Light Blue is waiting in the queue below, so this Box can close fast.
- Drop the Pinks from the left and right columns into the Pink Box.
- Clear the Gray from the front-right Box as soon as it is reachable, then let the front row close.
- Do not touch the White marbles in the middle columns — with no White Box in the visible stacks, they are pure bait. Leave them buried under the colors you are actually clearing.
Midgame: ride the mystery boxes
Once the front row empties, the mystery ’?’ Boxes slide forward and the real plan reveals itself. The top row of the stacks wants Blue three times over, Dark Red Boxes cycle into reach, and Yellow finally gets its single Box.
- Treat every ’?’ reveal as a surprise. Two of the four mystery Boxes stay hidden deep into the level, so keep one eye on what the queue is feeding.
- Feed the Blues in runs. Blue marbles cluster in the middle columns and chain through the funnel — one big Blue group can fill two of the three Blue stacks in a single pass.
- When a large Blue group enters the funnel, let it chain end to end instead of breaking it up with other colors.
- Match Dark Red as its Boxes rotate into the front row. Red Boxes outnumber every other color, so they keep you busy through the midgame.
- Hold the Yellow marbles at the top of the left columns until the Yellow Box is front and center — it only appears once, so do not spend it early.
- Keep the queue moving with Yellow, Green, and Light Blue — the colors it was stocked with — and only tap a queued marble whose Box is actually open.
Cleanup: finish through the x2 blocks
The end frames show the tray stripped down to the clusters gathered around the x2 Green blocks, the Green Box already filled, and the last Blue, Yellow, and Purple marbles feeding through the queue while the final mystery Boxes still sit unopened.
- Drop the last Green clusters through the x2 blocks so every marble counts twice into the remaining Green Box.
- Let the queue feed the final Yellow, Green, and Light Blue marbles as their Boxes open; do not chase colors whose receivers have already filled.
- Play the last mystery ’?’ reveals into whichever Box is front row, and the level completes the moment the final marble lands.

Level 188 Tips Recap
- White is the opening bait: it sits visibly in the tray but has no Box anywhere in the visible stacks.
- Only feed the front row first — Green, Light Blue, Pink, and Gray — and let the mystery ’?’ Boxes reveal the rest of the plan.
- Chain the Blues through the funnel in groups; the triple Blue stacks fill in one long pass.
- Finish the Greens through the x2 blocks so every drop counts twice.
