Level 342 Board Overview: The Mystery-Capped Tray

Level 342 is a tile-grid board, and half of it is hidden at the start. The tray is a compact cross of six vertical columns: grey ’?’ mystery tiles cap the two center columns, while numbered Blue tiles (marked 1, 2, and 3) sit on both flanks. The only fully visible colors in the tray are Yellow, Red, Green, and Purple — and not all of those have a home yet.

The conveyor below is already loaded with batches of Purple, Green, and Orange tiles, and the receiver Boxes at the bottom only ask for a couple of colors at a time. That mismatch is the whole level: the opening tray gives you Purple and numbered Blues you cannot play, while the Boxes quietly ask for the colors sitting on the edges.

By the mid-solve frame the plan is obvious in hindsight: Blue, Yellow, Red, and Orange Boxes fill first while the middle columns of the tray empty out completely. Purple and Teal are left for the endgame, and the numbered Blue tiles pay off the moment a Blue Box cycles to the front.

• Grey ’?’ mystery tiles cap the center columns: you cannot plan the top of the tray until you tap them, so every early reveal is a gamble.
• Numbered Blue tiles wait on both flanks: they look urgent, but each one counts as several tiles in a single drop — play them only when a Blue Box is front and center.
• The belt opens with Purple, Green, and Orange: those batches arrive first, but only Green and Orange have Boxes in the opening. The Purple batch just clogs the queue.
• Purple sits in the tray with no home: feed it early and the belt jams before the first row of Boxes clears.

Reveal the board before you commit to it. Follow the release order.

Opening: feed what’s open, leave the rest

1. Tap the Yellow tiles in the left-center column straight into a Yellow Box. Yellow is one of the safe opening colors.
2. Drop the Red solid tile from the center column into a Red Box.
3. Feed the Green tiles on the right side of the tray into the Green Box.
4. Leave the Purple tiles in the tray alone — no Purple Box is waiting at the start.
5. Start peeling the grey ’?’ mystery tiles off the column tops. If the reveal matches an open Box, feed it; if not, move on and come back.
6. Do not touch the numbered Blue tiles yet. They drop several tiles at once and only pay off once a Blue Box slides to the front.

9. Work the Yellow solid tiles in pairs; two matching taps finish a Yellow Box and free belt space fast.
