Marble Sort Level 244 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 244 Board Overview: The Locked-Edge Grid

Marble Sort level 244 opening board — The Locked-Edge Grid

Level 244 is a Hard board on the tile-grid variant: five columns stacked nine tiles deep, with grey empty cells marking the spaces that have not been filled yet. The left and right edges both open with a numbered lock tile sitting in the second cell of the stack — Red over a locked “4” block over Orange over Green on the left, and Green over a locked “4” block over Purple over Purple on the right. Anything sitting behind those locks stays buried until they are cleared.

The middle three columns are visible and honest. The second column stacks three Yellows on top of a White. The center column runs Orange, Pink, Light Blue, and Blue. The fourth column starts Pink, White, White, Purple — and deeper in that same stack sits a star-marked mystery tile that changes the board the moment the column reaches it.

The receiver row below asks for five colors at the start: Blue, White, Orange, Pink, and Green. Everything else on the board — Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Purple — has no home in the opening row. Combined with the locks on both edges, that means most of what you can see is bait, and the colors you actually need to feed arrive in singles.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 244

The board is rigged to make you feed what you can reach instead of what you need. Here is the layout:

  • Numbered lock tiles seal both edges: red blocks marked “4” sit in the left and right columns, and each one clears as several tiles when it finally falls. Until they are unlocked, the columns behind them (Orange and Green on the left, Purple on the right) stay buried.
  • Only five colors have receivers at the start: Blue, White, Orange, Pink, and Green. The Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Purple visible across the tray have no Box yet, so feeding them early jams the belt.
  • A star-marked mystery tile hides in the left-center stack: it sits below the visible Pink, White, White, Purple run and changes the board when it is reached — you cannot plan past it.
  • The useful colors come in singles: most of the open colors appear one tile at a time rather than in batches, so a careless tap strands a color on the belt for the whole opening.

Marble Sort Level 244 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Feed the open colors first, then unlock the edges. Follow the release order.

Opening: feed the five open colors

Marble Sort level 244 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the Blue marble in the center column into a Blue Box — it is the safest first drop on the board.
  2. Feed the White in the second column into a White Box.
  3. Tap the Orange in the center column into the Orange Box.
  4. Drop the Pink in the fourth column into the Pink Box.
  5. Work the Green in the left column down to its Box once the first few drops have thinned the stack.
  6. Do not touch Red, Yellow, Light Blue, or Purple — none of them has a Box in the front row, and parking one on the belt blocks the queue.

Midgame: unlock the edges and reveal the star

Once the opening colors clear, the board opens up. The lock tiles on both edges are the next targets.

  1. Unlock the numbered “4” block on the left edge and feed the column underneath: the Orange and Green behind it go straight to their Boxes.
  2. Clear the right-edge lock the same way and feed the Purples beneath it as the Purple Box cycles into the front row.
  3. Work the left-center column down to the star-marked tile and reveal it — treat whatever it uncovers as a new color waiting for a fresh Box.
  4. Let the receiver row cycle: the Yellows, Light Blues, Reds, and Purples that were bait in the opening now get their own Boxes. Feed each color as it slides to the front.

Cleanup: finish the stragglers

The end frame of the run shows the board still mid-solve: the right-side Blue receiver has already filled its full stack, while the remaining columns still hold mixed Pink, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Orange, Green, Red, and Yellow tiles.

  1. Play only to the active front row from here — a lone tile can wait until its Box slides forward.
  2. Keep clearing the outer columns one tile at a time so no color gets stranded without a home.
  3. Finish the remaining Boxes with the last singles; the level completes as the final tiles land.

Level 244 Tips Recap

  • Feed only the five open colors in the opening — Blue, White, Orange, Pink, and Green — and leave Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Purple alone until their Boxes cycle.
  • The numbered lock tiles on both edges hold whole columns hostage; unlock them as soon as their colors have homes.
  • Treat the star-marked tile in the left-center stack as an unknown: reveal it on its own, never on top of a combo.
  • In the endgame, only the front row matters — let the stragglers wait for their Boxes instead of chasing them.
