Marble Sort Level 231 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 231 Board Overview: The Mystery-Sealed Tile Grid

Marble Sort level 231 opening board — The Mystery-Sealed Tile Grid

Level 231 runs the tile/block-grid variant, not the classic marble tubes. The play area is a seven-column, five-row tray of square colored tiles, already stocked with Orange, Light Blue, Green, Dark Blue, Brown, Pink, Yellow, and Red slots. Several grey mystery tiles printed with question marks sit locked into the middle of the grid, and a handful of slots stand empty, waiting to be filled.

The feed comes from below. A queue at the bottom of the screen delivers round marbles in a fixed order: a short run of Green first, then a single Light Blue, then a long run of Orange that stretches most of the way across the belt, with a stray Light Blue and more Orange trailing at the back. On top of that, a cluster of Dark Blue round marbles already sits piled across the lower-center of the tray — the board starts half-fed before you tap anything.

Every color on the grid has at least one tile at the start, but not every tile has a marble on the belt. Brown, Pink, Yellow, and Red are all open with nothing to feed them yet, and the mystery tiles hide what the middle rows need. Level 231 is about pacing the queue against the tiles, not hunting for the one open color.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 231

  • The queue and the grid are out of sync. The belt opens with Green, Light Blue, and Orange only — Brown, Pink, Yellow, Red, and Dark Blue all have tiles but no opening marbles. Feed the queue too fast and the belt empties while half the grid still waits.
  • The Orange run is the real volume. Behind the opening Greens sits a solid run of Orange that spans most of the belt, with more Orange trailing at the back. The grid shows only a few Orange tiles at the start, so the run has to be spaced against them as the tiles cycle — dumping it all at once strands half of it.
  • The mystery ’?’ tiles hide the middle rows. Several grey mystery tiles are locked into the grid, and by the midgame the columns seal under them. You cannot plan the colors behind a ’?’ tile until the tiles around it clear, so a blind drop on a hidden color is a wasted placement.
  • The Dark Blue pile starts on the board. A cluster of Dark Blue marbles already crowds the lower-center of the tray, sharing the board with a single Dark Blue tile in the upper rows. It is placement room you cannot use until the pile drains one marble at a time.

Marble Sort Level 231 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Run the front of the queue first, then fight the mystery wall. Follow the release order.

Opening: run the front of the queue

Marble Sort level 231 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the Green marbles at the head of the queue onto the two Green tiles — one in the upper-left of the grid, one in the third row.
  2. Drop the Light Blue directly behind them onto one of the two Light Blue tiles.
  3. Keep the second Light Blue tile open — the belt carries another Light Blue further back, after the Orange run.
  4. Start cycling the Orange run onto the three open Orange tiles, one placement per tile as they come to the front.
  5. Do not chase Brown, Pink, Yellow, or Red — their tiles are open, but no marbles have arrived yet, so there is nothing to place.
  6. Leave the Dark Blue pile where it sits until the Dark Blue tile is in reach; the pile is your buffer for later, not your opener.

Midgame: the mystery wall

The mid-solve capture is actually a replay screen — a “REPLAY” header and the game logo sit over the board, with the tray sealed underneath. Grey mystery tiles cap nearly every column, Purple, Red, and Pink tiles peek out at the column bases, and the queue itself is running mystery blocks. That frame is the level’s warning: fall behind and the whole tray locks up.

  1. Reveal the mystery tiles only when the revealed color matches a tile you can place — a blind reveal wastes the drop.
  2. When mystery blocks start riding the queue, do not drop them blindly; let them cycle until a match appears.
  3. Keep the Orange run draining — the belt only frees up once the long run finally clears.
  4. Feed the Dark Blue pile one marble at a time as the Dark Blue tile cycles into reach.
  5. The moment Purple, Red, or Pink surfaces from under a mystery tile, place it into its matching tile before the column seals again.

Cleanup: finish behind the seals

The end frame is a victory screen — the pop-up reads “Level Completed!” with a +25 coin reward and a “Continue” button, so the level finishes the moment the last placements land.

  1. Play only to the tiles that still need filling; every color left on the tray has a home by now.
  2. Let the queue drain in order and complete the final placements as the last marbles cycle forward.
  3. Treat the remaining mystery tiles as the only unknowns left — clear them when the revealed color matches, and the tray empties on its own.

Level 231 Tips Recap

  • The belt opens with Green, Light Blue, and Orange only — match those three and let Brown, Pink, Yellow, and Red wait for marbles that arrive later.
  • Space the Orange run against the Orange tiles; it is the longest run on the opening belt, and dumping it at once strands half of it.
  • Never reveal a mystery ’?’ tile unless the revealed color has a tile to fill — the midgame seals columns under ’?’ blocks, and blind drops are wasted placements.
  • The Dark Blue pile is your buffer: it starts on the tray, so feed it one marble at a time instead of rushing it.
