Marble Sort Level 161 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 161 Board Overview: The Crate-Walled Tray

Marble Sort level 161 opening board — The Crate-Walled Tray

Level 161 opens with five columns of marbles standing on a tray whose bottom row is sealed by a wooden crate. Every column has to be cleared from the top down, and nothing new drops in until a column empties. The starting stacks hold Purple, Pink, Yellow, Light Blue, Blue, and a pair of Whites on the far right.

The conveyor queue is already loaded at the start with Pink, Yellow, Light Blue, Blue, Green, and Red — so the palette keeps rotating in as you work. The receiver Boxes for Light Blue, Pink, Orange, Blue, and Purple come into view below, with several slots still unlabeled at the opening.

The board is a rhythm puzzle: empty columns in the right order, and the queue feeds you cleanly. Dump the wrong color at the wrong time, and the belt jams while the tray grinds to a halt.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 161

The crate and the conveyor work together to punish impatient players:

  • Bottom row sealed: the crate hides the lowest slot of every column, so you can never reach underneath — each stack dies from the top.
  • Loaded queue: the belt starts with Pink, Yellow, Light Blue, Blue, Green, and Red already queued. Those colors will arrive quickly, so you cannot afford to hold any of them on the belt for long.
  • The late-game jam: by the middle of the level, the belt is stacked with Purple, Yellow, and Blue. That is the trap — these three colors come in waves, and if their Boxes are not in the front row, the belt backs up until the tray is frozen.
  • White on the edge: the two Whites on the right column are your safest resource, but only if you commit to them early.

Marble Sort Level 161 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play the top of every stack and let the crate handle the rest. Here is the release order.

Opening: commit to White, then Pink

Marble Sort level 161 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the top White on the right column into a White Box the moment it is available — the pair clears the column fast and opens a slot for the queue.
  2. Drop the second White straight behind it to finish the column.
  3. Move to the Pink stacks in the middle columns. Tap the top Pinks as Pink Boxes come forward — there are three Pinks across the board, enough to clear an early Box.
  4. Pick off the single Blue on the left-middle column when a Blue Box is in the front row.
  5. Take the Light Blue from the far-left column into a Light Blue Box.
  6. Feed the Yellows from the middle columns as their Boxes surface. Keep the belt moving — the queue is already bringing Green and Red, so never sit on a Yellow you can place.

Midgame: survive the Purple, Yellow, and Blue wave

The middle of the level is a conveyor test. The tray empties down to almost nothing while the belt fills with Purple, Yellow, and Blue in bulk.

  1. When the big wave of Purples reaches the tray, feed them into a Purple Box immediately — do not let them stack on the belt.
  2. Match the Yellow run the same way: Yellow Boxes cycle forward mid-game, so dump each Yellow as it arrives.
  3. Handle the Blues one at a time. A single Blue can linger in the tray for a long stretch — that is fine; leave it rather than parking Blue on a full belt.
  4. Keep at least one column empty so the queue can keep feeding. A frozen tray with a full belt is a loss.
  5. Ignore the crate entirely — it only reveals more of the tray as marbles disappear. Never move marbles just to see behind it.

Cleanup: ride the final queue

With the tray nearly empty, the level becomes a sorting funnel.

  1. Play to the active front row of Boxes and nothing else. Light Blue, Pink, and Orange Boxes finish off the early colors.
  2. Let the last Purples and Blues pull through as their Boxes reach the front.
  3. The Green and Red from the opening queue finally surface in the late game — keep their columns open and drop them home as soon as their Boxes appear.
  4. If the belt starts to back up, stop tapping the tray entirely and let the front Boxes cycle forward before you touch anything.

Level 161 Tips Recap

  • The crate seals the bottom row of every column — plan each stack from the top down, never from underneath.
  • White and Pink are your opening priorities; they clear columns and make room for the queue.
  • The midgame wave of Purple, Yellow, and Blue will jam the belt if you feed it greedily. Match each color to a front-row Box or leave it alone.
  • Keep one column empty so the queue keeps turning. A frozen tray with a full belt is the only way to lose this level.
