Marble Sort Level 356 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 356 Board Overview: The Rainbow Countdown

Marble Sort level 356 opening board — The Rainbow Countdown

Level 356 opens on a countdown board. Two receiver hoppers sit at the top of the screen, and each one shows the same badge: a rainbow, mixed-color circle marked with the number 18. Both hoppers start empty, so the whole level is a race to drain two eighteen-count goals — and because the badge is a rainbow rather than a single color, no drop is ever locked to one hopper. Whatever you feed simply counts down whichever goal is taking tiles.

Below the hoppers sits a compact field of four columns, every one of them stacked five tiles high. The columns are built in pairs: the left column stands on two Blues, the next two columns on double Reds, and the right column on double Pinks, with Orange, Red, and Blue weaving through the middle layers. The tops tell the real story — three of the four columns finish in Teal and the fourth in Green, so the colors sitting highest on the board are exactly the ones that match nothing else nearby.

The conveyor under the columns is already loaded before your first tap, and it is running pure Blue — seven Blue marbles in a row, a full wave with no other color mixed in. Blue is everywhere at the start, and that is the trap in miniature: the board hands you one color as a long, tempting run, then rotates the feed underneath you. Read the wave you are on, not the wave you just finished.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 356

The board is rigged to make you chase the color of the moment. Here is the layout:

  • The conveyor fronts one long Blue run: seven Blues ride the belt at the start while Blue sits buried at different depths across the columns — paired at the base of the left stack but only middle-height in the others. Dump everything Blue the instant it appears and the belt goes quiet long before the column Blues surface.
  • The column caps match nothing on the belt: three Teal caps and one Green cap top the four stacks, but the opening belt runs Blue only. Peel the caps into an empty line and you park tiles that no wave is feeding yet.
  • The bottom of the board is two identical passes: the last two layers of every column are the same four colors — Blue, Red, Red, Pink — so the finish plays twice in a row. Mistake the second pass for a new problem and you will re-solve a board you already cleared.
  • The color pool rotates mid-level: the opening is all Blue, but as the columns drain the feed shifts — later frames run Purple, Yellow, and White through the belt. Colors that dominate the opening become rare, and colors you have not seen arrive in bunches.

Marble Sort Level 356 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play the wave you can see. Follow the release order.

Opening: ride the Blue run

Marble Sort level 356 mid-solve board

  1. Start feeding Blue immediately — the belt is already carrying seven Blue marbles and both hoppers sit at 18, so the first several drops are pure countdown with nothing to misplay.
  2. Strip the columns evenly instead of emptying one at a time: take a tile or two from each stack so no single column runs dry while the belt is still feeding Blue.
  3. Clear the Teal and Green caps early but in ones and twos, matching them to belt gaps — they ride the line while the Blue wave is between columns.
  4. Do not let the belt fill up behind a hopper that is still draining. A tile tapped onto a full line waits in place and blocks everything behind it.
  5. When the first column empties, use its slot as a breather: the middle layers (Orange over Red, Red over Blue) now surface in every stack, so the feed widens past Blue.

Midgame: the wave rotates

By the middle of the solve the column pairs are mostly gone and the color pool turns over. The stacks still holding tiles sit at different heights, and the conveyor switches from its all-Blue opening to mixed runs — Purple, Yellow, and White tiles start cycling through with the Reds and Greens as the columns thin out.

  1. Read the new wave before you commit: when Purple, Yellow, and White start riding the belt, they are the colors the board is pushing now — let them through instead of holding out for more Blue.
  2. Work the remaining Blue, Red, and Orange tiles off the columns as their runs pass, so the middle stacks do not strand a color the belt has already stopped carrying.
  3. Bank each double as it comes: when a column exposes two matching tiles in a row, release them together — one commitment clears two countdown ticks.
  4. Treat the belt as the clock: whenever a full run of one color reaches the front, feed it in a pass rather than dribbling single tiles between other colors.
  5. If a color you no longer need rides the line, let it cycle back around instead of tapping it into a hopper — the hoppers count down on volume, so every wasted tile only stretches the level.

Cleanup: drain the last columns

The end frames catch the board mid-solve rather than on a victory screen — the run has thinned to a handful of single tiles scattered across the columns, with the belt still cycling Reds, Greens, and a few stragglers while the hoppers take their final feeds. There is no popup to confirm the finish in the captured footage, so close the level out patiently.

  1. Play every remaining tile to whichever hopper is still counting — with both goals on the rainbow badge, the last singles feed anywhere and still tick the totals down.
  2. Let the belt carry the stragglers in order instead of forcing tiles: the final columns empty in the same sequence they were built, pairs peeling one last time.
  3. Watch for the two identical bottom passes — Blue, Red, Red, Pink — and play the second pass exactly like the first; it is a repeat of a pattern you already cleared.
  4. Keep the line from jamming to the very end: the level completes when the last tile drops into the final hopper slot and the second eighteen-count hits zero.

Level 356 Tips Recap

  • The hoppers are rainbow goals at 18 — nothing is color-locked, so the real skill is pacing the feed, not matching shades.
  • Blue dominates the opening: ride the seven-Blue belt, but keep the column Blues for when the run ends.
  • Peel the Teal and Green caps in belt gaps, clear the middle layers as they surface, and bank every exposed double in one go.
  • The board ends the way it began — two identical passes of Blue, Red, Red, Pink — and the closing footage stops mid-solve, so finish the last singles calmly and let the countdown hit zero.
