Marble Sort Level 243 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 243 Board Overview: The Bait Center Column

Marble Sort level 243 opening board — The Bait Center Column

Level 243 plays on the stacked-column board: five marble columns standing over a funnel that feeds a receiver queue below, where four Boxes are open at a time. The grid is not evenly loaded — the center column is a full marble taller than everything around it, and that height difference is the whole level. The tray has no crates, locks, or mystery tiles to fight; the danger is purely which colors sit on top of which.

The receiver queue opens with four lead Boxes: Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Green, each four slots deep. When a Box fills it slides off and the next color cycles in from the queue below. The right side of the tray lines up beautifully with those first four colors — the fourth column stacks three Reds around a buried Light Pink and Blue, and the rightmost column carries Light Blue, Red, Orange, and two Greens at its base. The left half is a different story: the left column is capped by a Gray marble, and the tall center column is built almost entirely from colors with no open Box at all.

The colors without an early Box are Gray, Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange, Brown, and Black. The center column holds Pink, Orange, Brown, Purple, Black, and only a Light Blue and a Green that the queue actually wants. The mid-solve frame shows the shape of the trap: the Gray never moves, the middle columns thin out only slowly, and by the endgame the funnel is dumping whole batches of Oranges at once. Play the right side, respect the center, and let the queue cycle.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 243

The tray is rigged to make you feed the center column before its colors have Boxes. Here is the layout:

  • The left column is Gray-capped: a Gray marble sits on top of two Light Blues, a Blue, and a Yellow. The Light Blues are wanted immediately, but lifting the Gray with no Box anywhere in the queue parks dead weight on the funnel.
  • The center column is pure bait: seven marbles tall, it stacks Pink, Light Blue, Orange, Brown, Purple, and Black with a single Green at the base. Only the Light Blue and the Green are live at the start — every other marble in that column waits for a Box that has not cycled in yet.
  • Purple, Pink, Orange, Brown, and Black have zero lead Boxes: they are spread across every column, and feeding any of them before the queue rotates jams the funnel with colors that cannot land.
  • The queue only pays out from the front: Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Green lead; Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange, and Brown are waiting underneath. A color whose Box is still buried is a slot you cannot use.

Marble Sort Level 243 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Feed the front of the queue and keep the center column closed until its Boxes arrive. Follow the release order.

Opening: work the right side

Marble Sort level 243 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the top two Reds in the fourth column into the Red Box — the third Red sits at the column’s base, so leave it until the Light Pink and Blue above it are clear.
  2. Feed the two Greens at the base of the rightmost column, then the Green at the base of the center column, into the Green Box.
  3. Drop the Yellow in the rightmost column into the Yellow Box, and the Yellow at the base of the left column when you can reach it.
  4. Take the Light Blues from the top of the rightmost column and the second column — they are the easiest live marbles on the board.
  5. Leave the Gray cap on the left column alone, and do not touch the Light Blues under it yet.
  6. Keep feeding Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Green as their Boxes cycle to the front. When a lead Box fills, the next color slides up from the queue — do not reach for it until it is front and center.

Midgame: let the queue open the center

By the middle of the solve the tray has thinned on the right and the queue has rotated toward the colors the center column is built from. The mid-solve frame shows the center still stacked, the left column still capped, and the funnel starting to pull Oranges and Pinks into play.

  1. When the Orange Box reaches the front, feed the Oranges in the center column and the rightmost column — they arrive as the queue opens up.
  2. Feed the Pinks next: one sits on top of the center column and one rides the second column, and the Pink Box is active by this stage.
  3. Bank the Purples from the second and center columns into the Purple Box once it slides forward.
  4. Work the center column down one marble at a time: peel the Pink, then the Orange, then the Brown and Purple, exposing the Green at the base for its Box.
  5. Drop the Blues from the left and fourth columns when the Blue Box comes around — the Light Pink buried in the fourth column can wait for its own cycle.
  6. If the Brown Box appears in the queue, the Brown from the center column feeds it in a single drop.

Cleanup: ride the Orange flood

The end frame catches the level still in progress: the tray stripped down to a handful of marbles, the funnel slots empty, and a stream of Oranges mid-fall toward the open Boxes. From here the level is a conveyor game.

  1. Feed the Orange batches as the belt dumps them — the funnel is carrying Oranges in runs, and the Orange Box is open to take them.
  2. Play only the active front-row colors from here on: Pink, Purple, Red, Blue, and Brown boxes pull the remaining stragglers down as they cycle.
  3. Lift the Gray cap on the left column only when the tray is otherwise empty — it guards two Light Blues that finish off their Box, and the Blue and Yellow underneath feed last.
  4. Keep tapping the color whose Box is front and center. The last singles drop one at a time, and the level ends the moment the final marble lands.

Level 243 Tips Recap

  • Only the front of the queue pays: Red, Yellow, Light Blue, and Green open the level; Gray, Blue, Purple, Pink, Orange, Brown, and Black wait for their Boxes to cycle in.
  • The tall center column is the trap — it is stacked with bait colors, so keep it closed until the queue rotates toward them.
  • The Gray on the left column never moves until the endgame; treat it as dead weight and save the Light Blues under it for last.
  • The endgame is an Orange flood: the funnel feeds Oranges in batches, so keep playing the front-row color and let the queue pull the board down.
