Marble Sort Level 149 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 149 Board Overview: Eight Colors, Four Hidden Targets

Marble Sort level 149 opening board — Eight Colors, Four Hidden Targets

Level 149 opens with a tray full of variety and very little certainty. Eight colors are in play — Blue, Purple, Yellow, Red, Gray, Green, Brown, and Pink — spread across a five-column tray. The trouble starts at the top: wooden crates cover several slots on the top row, hiding whatever sits behind them and cutting off the easiest part of the board.

The bottom row is where the real puzzle lives. Four receiver boxes wait with no labels — mystery boxes that only reveal which color they want once you start feeding them. The conveyor belt feeds marbles in from the right, starting with Blue, Red, Brown, Green, then two Pinks and another Green. Your job is to route each belt marble into the right mystery box before the queue backs up.

Blue is the most common color on the opening board, with a pair stacked in the second column and a third in the third column. Purple shows up twice, Green twice, while Yellow, Red, Gray, and Brown each appear once. Pink is a wild card: it arrives on the belt immediately, but there is no Pink visible on the tray at the start.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 149

The level is built to punish greedy feeding:

  • Mystery boxes hide the targets. All four receiver boxes start as ”?”, so you cannot plan a color route until you commit marbles. Every early drop is a gamble.
  • Crates seal the top slots. Multiple crates sit on the first row of the tray, so you cannot read the whole board at once — colors only become usable as crates clear.
  • Pink arrives with no home. The first belt cycle includes two Pinks, but no Pink marble is visible on the tray. Dumping them blind early is the classic mistake.
  • The belt never stops. Every marble you hold back stalls the queue, and a jammed belt hides the next color you need.

The winning habit here is patience: feed only what matches a visible tray color, and let everything else ride the belt until a box reveals itself.

Marble Sort Level 149 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play to the belt, not to the board. Here is the release order that works.

Opening: match the first belt cycle

  1. Start with the Blue marbles — the belt’s first marble is Blue, and the tray has three of them. Drop the pair from the second column first.
  2. When Red reaches the front of the belt, feed it into a box — the Red marble sitting in the first column is your match.
  3. Let the Brown from the belt meet the lone Brown in the fourth column.
  4. Handle the first Green from the belt using either Green on the tray, then repeat with the second Green as the queue cycles.
  5. When the two Pinks arrive, leave them on the belt. With no Pink visible on the tray, you have nothing to pair them with — forcing a mystery box now risks wasting it.

Midgame: work the crates open

As marbles leave the tray, the crates begin to clear and hidden colors surface. Gray and Purple, which sat unreachable at the opening, finally come into play.

  1. Feed the Gray as soon as it is reachable — it has no early competition, so one mystery box should lock onto it quickly.
  2. Clear the Purples next. There are two of them, and each reveal opens more of the tray.
  3. Keep recycling the belt: Blue, Green, and Red keep reappearing in the queue, and their boxes should now be identified, so feed them whenever they match.
  4. Only commit the waiting Pinks once a mystery box shows it wants Pink — the reveal happens faster than you expect once the board thins out.
  5. Work from the middle of the tray outward. The crate-covered top slots are the last real estate to open, so keep the bottom two rows moving.

Cleanup: drain the queue

With the tray nearly empty, the level becomes a simple queue-clearing exercise.

  1. Match the final Greens on the belt to the last open box.
  2. Send the remaining Red when its box cycles to the front.
  3. Finish with the Pink stragglers — by the end, the belt is down to Green, Red, and Pink, so there is no more guessing.
  4. Keep the belt moving even when the tray looks empty; the last few marbles still need their boxes.

Level 149 Tips Recap

  • Never dump a marble into a mystery box unless it matches a visible tray color — blind drops waste the only four targets you get.
  • Pink is bait in the opening: two Pinks arrive before any Pink is reachable on the board. Let them ride the belt.
  • Play the middle and bottom rows first; the crate-sealed top slots unlock on their own as the tray empties.
  • The endgame is a clean queue drain of Green, Red, and Pink — by then every box is identified, so just keep feeding.
