Marble Sort Level 236 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 236 Board Overview: The Crate-Choked Tile Grid

Level 236 is the tile-grid variant of Marble Sort, not the loose-stack board. Marbles enter at the top and fall through a five-column grid of square cells, then drop into the funnel-shaped hopper at the bottom, which feeds the receiver boxes. The source video opens on the level-select screen rather than the board, so the layout below is read from the in-game frames of the solve — the grid itself is the same for the whole level.
The grid is choked with obstacles. Grey stone crates with yellow bows block whole cells and hide whatever lane runs behind them, while fixed colored waffle tiles — white, red, blue, and yellow — sit permanently in place and shape every route you have. Near the bottom of the grid runs a row of blue slots marked “0”: these are temporary holding cells that can park a single marble each, which is how you keep stragglers out of the funnel while a box cycles.
Five receiver boxes line the bottom. By the mid-solve frame, the Orange, Pink, Yellow, and Blue boxes are already filled, and only the White box is still open, with a queue of White, Pink, and Light Blue marbles waiting in the hopper and a few Orange stragglers still falling through the grid. The whole level is routing, not raw sorting: get each marble past the crates and tiles into the right lane, park what cannot land yet, and the boxes fill themselves.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 236
The grid is rigged to stall you if you drop without a plan:
- Stone crates wall off whole columns. The grey crates sit in the upper and middle rows and block cells outright. You cannot force a marble through one — every drop has to take a lane around them, so plan your routes before you tap.
- The colored waffle tiles never move. White, red, blue, and yellow tile blocks are fixed for the entire level. They narrow the drop lanes, and a marble sent into the wrong side of a blocked row ends up parked where you did not want it.
- The 0-slots are your only parking. The blue “0” holding cells take one marble each. If a color’s box is full or not yet open, it waits in a 0-slot — let it sit in the funnel instead and the queue backs up.
- The hopper is the bottleneck. The funnel at the bottom holds only a few marbles before it jams. Feeding it faster than the boxes accept deliveries stalls every drop behind it.
- White waits until the end. With most of the boxes already full, the remaining White, Pink, and Light Blue queue has exactly one open target left — the White box. Dumping the queue early just blocks the final lane.
Marble Sort Level 236 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
The order below follows the color needs of the five bottom boxes. Exact taps depend on how the grid lanes line up, but the sequence stays the same.
Opening: read the boxes before you drop

- Check the five receiver boxes before touching anything and note which colors are still open — on this board Orange, Pink, Yellow, and Blue clear first, with White saved for last.
- Study the crate placement in the top rows. Every grey stone crate blocks a cell outright, so identify the open lanes around it before sending your first marble down.
- Send the first marbles through the open lanes into their matching boxes. Drop only colors whose box is actively accepting.
- When a lane is blocked by a colored waffle tile, route around it rather than stacking a second marble on top — the fixed tiles never move.
- Start using the blue “0” slots early. Park any marble whose box is full or not yet open instead of letting it drift into the hopper.
Midgame: work the lanes around the crates
- Work each column down cell by cell. The crates hide the middle rows, so clear the cells around them first to see what is waiting underneath.
- When two marbles stack in the same lane, drop the bottom one first — a marble sitting on top of a crate cell has nowhere to go until the lane below it opens.
- Use the 0-slots to sequence the queue: hold a Light Blue or Orange in a holding cell so a White marble can pass through to its box.
- Do not let the hopper pile up. The funnel only holds a few marbles, so feed it one delivery at a time and let it clear between drops.
- As each box fills, it stops accepting. Move your attention to the next open color instead of piling more onto a full box.
- Time the right-side drops around the falling Orange stragglers — give them a lane or a 0-slot so they do not jam the queue ahead of the Whites.
Cleanup: feed the last White box
- In the late game only the White box is open, and the hopper holds White, Pink, and Light Blue. Feed each color only when its box is accepting.
- Park the Pinks and Light Blues in the 0-slots while the queue cycles, so the Whites can ride through uninterrupted.
- Sort the remaining hopper marbles by color before feeding them rather than pushing whatever is on top.
- Top off the White box one marble at a time — the level completes as the last White lands, and the victory screen confirms it.

Level 236 Tips Recap
- Route around the stone crates instead of forcing drops through them — the lanes around a crate are all you have until it clears.
- The blue “0” slots are your parking lot: a full or unopened color waits there, never in the funnel.
- Never stack the hopper — the bottom funnel only holds a few marbles, so feed it only when a box accepts.
- White finishes the level: keep the queue cycling until the White box is open, then feed it straight to the end.
