Marble Sort Level 551 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 551 Board Overview: The Key-Locked Tray

Level 551 is played on the tile/block-grid board, and the first thing you notice is how much of it is locked. Seven columns of colored tiles fill the tray, and grey key tiles — each marked with a key symbol — cap the top of nearly every column. You can see the Light Blue, Yellow, Green, and Orange waiting underneath them, but those tiles will not move until their locks are opened, which makes the top row of the board a late-game zone no matter how tempting it looks.
The lower two-thirds of the tray is where the real opening lives. The bottom rows hold the colors that the early slots actually want: Green, Pink, and Orange sit free across the columns, with Red and more Light Blue dotted in between. Two wooden crates are planted diagonally across the middle columns, and behind them you can make out stacked clusters of Purple and White tiles that stay out of reach until the wood clears.
Below the tray, the receiver line runs in a row of slots. The front slot asks for Green first, with Pink and Orange sliding into the line as those fill, and the whole line is fed by a track that delivers marbles in same-color rows. One slot on the line stays padlocked from the start — it cannot take anything until its padlock opens, and whichever color it is waiting for cannot finish early.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 551
The board is rigged to make you play top-down when you should play bottom-up. Here is the layout:
- Key tiles seal the top of every column: the colors parked under the locks — Light Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange — look reachable, but they are gated until midgame. Feed around them, not through them.
- The crates hide the Purple and White center stacks: both center columns are stacked with Purple and White behind the wooden crates. Purple has no open slot during the opening, so the moment the crates clear it becomes bait you must not grab.
- One slot is padlocked from the start: the locked slot takes no deliveries at all, and its color cannot be completed no matter how many matching tiles you free. Bank those tiles on the board instead of the line.
- The track delivers in same-color rows: marbles arrive in whole rows of one color, so a full row burns fast when its slot is open — and jams the line when it is not. Never queue a color with no live slot.
- Filled slots rotate the line: finishing a Green, Pink, or Orange slot cycles a new request to the front, so today’s safe color is tomorrow’s closed door. Play only to whatever slot is live.
Marble Sort Level 551 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Work the board from the base up. Follow the release order.
Opening: clear the base and leave the center alone

The bottom rows and the crate-free columns are your whole world for the first stretch.
- Tap the free Green tiles standing in the lower rows — the front slot takes Green and the track already has rows of Green marbles queued to follow.
- Feed the Pink tiles next. Pink rides the bottom rows in stacks, and its slot cycles in right behind Green.
- As the Orange slot reaches the front of the line, release the Orange tiles sitting in the lower columns. They are the last of the three opening colors.
- Let each filled slot rotate the line forward — every completed Green, Pink, or Orange delivery opens the next request instead of stacking on the belt.
- Do not touch the center columns: the Purple and White clusters behind the wooden crates have no live slot yet, and the keyed top tiles are still sealed. Admire them and move on.
Midgame: the crates clear and the columns unlock
By mid-solve the lower grid is nearly empty, the wooden crates are gone, and the Green, Pink, and Orange slots sit filled on the line. What is left of the board is stacked upward: the key tiles still cap the columns, and beneath them wait the Light Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, Red, and a heavy run of Purple tiles.
- Start chipping the keyed columns from the top down — release a lock tile’s color the moment the reveal matches a live slot, and skip any column whose reveal has no open home.
- Take each column one tile at a time. A single freed tile is worth more than a half-emptied column you cannot finish.
- When the front slot asks for Green again, feed the whole track row at once — the belt still runs Green in batches, and one pass clears a full delivery.
- Pick off the single Red and Light Pink tiles left scattered in the middle columns; their slots cycle through quickly and every clear opens more of the tray.
- Do not start the Purple cluster yet. It is the tallest stack left on the board, and its slot appears late — parking even a few Purples early costs you the whole line.
Cleanup: unlock the top row and finish the last slots
The endgame is the keyed top row. The video catches the board mid-solve here: the lower grid is stripped clean, the line shows the completed Green, Pink, and Orange sets, and only the padlocked slot plus the key-capped columns remain.
- Keep unlocking the top columns one by one. Light Blue, Yellow, and Orange are the last colors riding under the keys — feed each the moment its slot reaches the front.
- Let the padlocked slot open when it finally does, then finish its color last; it has been holding that request hostage since the opening.
- Save the remaining Purple tiles for the very end. Purples are the deepest stack on the board, so clear everything else first and let the final slot come to them.
- Play only to the live front slot from here on. Once a slot fills and rotates, its color is closed — never chase a delivery whose window has passed.
- Feed the last stragglers as the final slots cycle, and the board empties on its own.

Level 551 Tips Recap
- Solve bottom-up: base rows first, then the crate-freed center, and only then the key-locked top row.
- Purple is the level’s bait — the biggest stack on the board with the latest slot. Leave it until the cleanup.
- The line delivers in same-color rows, so time each row to its live slot; over-feeding a closed color jams the whole track.
- Keep one eye on the padlocked slot: its color is un-finishable until the padlock opens, so do not stock that color on the belt early.
