Marble Sort Level 385 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 385 Board Overview: The Crate-Walled Tray

Marble Sort level 385 opening board — The Crate-Walled Tray

Level 385 opens as a hard board with a tray packed full of colored tiles stacked to the top. The visible squares run through Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Pink, Green, Purple, Orange, and Red — but the board refuses to be read in a straight line. Wooden crates marked with a brown ‘X’ sit planted over several cells in the upper half of the tray, sealing whatever waits beneath them, and grey numbered tiles ride the columns, acting as locks that only break open after several removals.

The color mix that matters in the opening is honest and small. The visible top rows ask for Blue, Yellow, and Pink first, with a second row of Cyan and Green waiting just below. Around them the board is stacked with Purple, Orange, and Red tiles that have no obvious home yet, and the lower rows carry heavy multi-tile stacks of Green and Brown that will feed the board’s later requests.

Below the tray the conveyor is already loaded in batches — Orange, Purple, and Yellow groups ride at the front of the line with Blue and Cyan batches behind them — and the bottom receiver columns are waiting, partially filled, to pull matching colors down as they come. The solve is mostly a question of order: clear the open tiles, time the crates and locks, and keep the conveyor moving in matching runs.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 385

The board is rigged to make you reveal faster than you can sort. Here is the layout:

  • Wooden X-crates seal whole cells: several columns in the upper tray are capped or blocked by brown ‘X’ crates. You cannot see what sits under them, and every attempt to work that column stalls until the crate is cleared.
  • Numbered grey tiles are locks, not bonuses: the tiles marked “3” and “4” need several removals before they open. Treat them as locked cells — tapping one too early strands the column and jams the queue.
  • Only a few colors have open receivers at the start: Blue, Yellow, and Pink lead the opening, while Purple, Orange, and Red sit stacked with no clear destination yet. Feed them early and the conveyor jams before the tray thins out.
  • The conveyor runs in heavy batches: Orange, Purple, and Yellow groups arrive together, so a careless tap dumps several tiles onto a belt that the bottom columns cannot drain yet.

Marble Sort Level 385 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Clear the open tiles before you touch the crates. Follow the release order.

Opening: work the visible tops

Marble Sort level 385 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the visible Blue, Yellow, and Pink tiles straight toward their matching receivers — these are the only completely safe drops on the opening board.
  2. Peel the Cyan and Green tiles in the rows below as their receivers open; they arrive in short runs and clear fast.
  3. Leave every Purple, Orange, and Red tile alone while their columns still show no open destination — they are bait until the belt cycles.
  4. Do not tap the numbered “3” and “4” lock tiles yet. Each one needs several removals, and starting one early just parks a dead column in the middle of the tray.
  5. Keep the conveyor fed in its own batches: when Orange, Purple, or Yellow groups reach the front of the line, only release them if the matching receiver column is live and has room.

Midgame: break the crates and unlock the center

By the middle of the solve the lower rows of the tray have emptied out and the bottom receiver columns are nearly full, with only their top slots still open. The remaining board is the top few rows: a couple of wooden X-crates still block cells, a grey lock tile marked “3” still sits in the middle row, and the active feed line is now running Green, Purple, and Pink groups with a large Orange batch queued behind them.

  1. Finish the near-full bottom columns one at a time — each completed column frees the whole lower tray and gives the queue somewhere to drain.
  2. Clear the remaining X-crates as soon as the tiles around them have homes; the colors they seal are the last big stacks on the board.
  3. When the lock tile marked “3” is exposed, chip it down with repeated matching removals — it opens only after several hits, so plan the column around it.
  4. Ride the Green and Pink runs hard: the feed line is delivering them in groups, and matching batches finish a column in a single pass.
  5. Let the large Orange batch behind the feed line cycle in only when an Orange slot is open at the bottom; do not stack it on a full line.

Cleanup: feed the stragglers

With the tray nearly empty the level becomes a straight finishing line. The end frame shows the board stripped down to a handful of leftover tile stacks — Dark Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, Light Blue, and Red singles scattered across the columns — with a pair of white lock tiles still holding the center and a short queue of single Cyan, Light Green, Pink, and Dark Blue marbles feeding the last drops.

  1. Every remaining tile is a single waiting for its receiver column to slide to the front — play only to the active columns.
  2. Let the short queue cycle: the last Cyan, Light Green, Pink, and Dark Blue marbles feed as their receivers open. Do not chase colors whose columns have already closed.
  3. When the white center locks are the only obstacle left, clear them with the nearest matching colors — they hold the final tiles.
  4. Finish the last columns as the stragglers drop and let the tray empty. The level completes the moment the final tile lands.

Level 385 Tips Recap

  • Clear the open Blue, Yellow, and Pink tops before touching anything sealed — the crates and locks only open once the tiles around them have homes.
  • Numbered grey tiles are locks, not gifts: “3” and “4” each need several removals, so never start one on a full belt.
  • Feed the conveyor in its own batches and only when the matching bottom column is live — Orange, Purple, and Yellow arrive in groups and jam fast.
  • In the endgame the tray is nearly empty; cycle the short queue and feed the last singles into their receiver columns.
