Marble Sort Level 381 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 381 Board Overview: The Cross-Shaped Marble Tray

Marble Sort level 381 opening board — The Cross-Shaped Marble Tray

Level 381 plays out on the tile/block-grid variant, and the play surface is a cross-shaped tray: five columns of square slots with the corner positions cut away, so the board reads as a wide plus sign. Cherie Gaming’s recording opens on the channel’s intro card before the board appears, and by the first clear frame of play the bottom arm of the cross is already open — the slots along the bottom center sit empty, which is exactly where the marbles need to fall.

Each filled slot holds one of two things. Some are solid single-color tiles — Red, Green, Blue, Purple, and Orange squares that drop as one marble each. The rest are marble-blocks: square tiles packed with a cluster of small marbles, like the Light Blue tile with a single dot, the Pink tile with eight dots, and the Yellow, Dark Blue, and Green tiles packed twelve marbles thick. Those are the dangerous ones, because releasing a marble-block sends its whole cluster onto the conveyor at once.

Below the tray, a white conveyor carries marbles toward four tall glass vials at the bottom of the screen — the sorting targets. When the board first comes into view the belt is already loaded: a handful of empties, a starred special marble, then a run of Orange, a run of Purple, and Light Blues riding behind them. The vials are still mixed at this point, which is normal this early: the level is about feeding color runs off the tray into the right vial, one batch at a time.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 381

The cross tray is built to punish greedy taps. Here is the layout:

  • The recording opens with an intro card: the video starts on a Cherie Gaming channel card, so there is no clean look at the untouched board — by the time play is visible the bottom center of the tray is already open. Do not expect a pristine opening frame.
  • Marble-blocks dump whole clusters: a tile packed with eight or twelve marbles releases the entire group in one drop. Tap one on a full belt and the queue jams before the vials can drain.
  • The starred belt marble is a special drop: a white star graphic rides the conveyor between the Orange and Purple runs. Treat it as a bonus that matches whatever the receiving vial asks for — do not plan a combo around it.
  • The belt arrives in color runs, not mixes: Orange leads, Purple follows, then Light Blue. Feeding a run one marble at a time while the same color still fills the queue only crowds the belt; feed each run when its vial has room.
  • The cross shape hides the center: the outer arms hold the solid singles and the small blocks, while the packed twelve-dot blocks sit in the middle rows. Clearing the arms first opens the path for the center clusters.

Marble Sort Level 381 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Sort the tray arm by arm and feed the belt in runs. Follow the phases in order.

Opening: clear the solid singles

Marble Sort level 381 mid-solve board

  1. Start with the solid single-color tiles on the tray — Red, Green, Blue, Purple, and Orange squares each drop as one marble, so they empty a slot without flooding the belt.
  2. Feed the first Orange run as it rolls off the tray; Orange leads the belt and one of the glass vials already holds Orange marbles.
  3. Drop the Purple run right behind it into the vial holding Purple, keeping the queue moving in matched batches.
  4. Let the Light Blue marbles follow into the Light Blue-leaning vial — the tray’s single-dot Light Blue tile feeds the same color early.
  5. Hold the starred marble on the belt until a vial opens that matches it; a matched star drop clears more than a single marble when it lands.
  6. Do not tap the twelve-dot Yellow, Dark Blue, or Green blocks yet — their clusters are too big for the belt while the opening runs are still moving.

Midgame: break the center blocks

With the bottom arm of the cross open and the outer arms thinning, the center clusters become reachable and the belt swaps toward longer runs. The receiving vials are still mixed, so the rule now is: release a block only when its color already has a vial slot waiting.

  1. Empty the tray’s remaining arm slots first so the middle-row blocks are the only things left to fall.
  2. Feed the Light Blue and Orange batches as the belt cycles them — both colors ride the queue in groups of three or more, so a full batch clears in one pass.
  3. Start on the twelve-dot Yellow block when a Yellow marble is already sitting low in a vial; the cluster tops the stack in one release.
  4. Break the Dark Blue and Green twelve-dot blocks one at a time, and only when the belt has several free slots — each one dumps a dozen marbles.
  5. If the starred marble is still riding the belt, save it for the last stubbornly mixed vial — a matched star drop is the fastest way to finish one.

Cleanup: feed the tail runs

The end of the run shows the tray nearly stripped: a ring of blocks is all that remains — Dark Blue and Green blocks on the top and bottom arms, with Purple, Pink, and a solid Red across the middle row, and only a single empty slot left in the center. The belt has cycled to a new tail: five Oranges and five Pinks on the upper lane, with Reds and more Pinks on the lane below, while the vials stack Pink, Yellow, and Green high.

  1. Finish the last Dark Blue and Green blocks — each feeds straight into the vial that already holds that color.
  2. Route the Pink tail into the Pink-heavy vial; Pink arrives in groups of four or five, so one long pass tops it off.
  3. Drop the final Reds into the vial holding Red, then let the last Oranges roll in behind them.
  4. Once every block is off the tray, the remaining belt empties into the vials by itself — the level completes the moment the final marble lands.

Level 381 Tips Recap

  • The bottom arm of the cross empties first — solid single tiles are safe early taps; marble-blocks are not.
  • Feed the belt in color runs (Orange, then Purple, then Light Blue) instead of dribbling one marble at a time.
  • Treat the starred marble as a bonus — save it for a vial that matches instead of dumping it on a full belt.
  • Hold the twelve-dot center blocks until their color is already low in a vial, then release them one at a time.
