Marble Sort Level 431 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 431 Board Overview: The Numbered Panel Grid

Level 431 plays in the stacked-column grid style: colored tiles sit in columns that drain down toward the receiver Boxes while a conveyor along the bottom feeds its own runs into the same cycle. Rock Gaming’s clear opens with a board that is only half readable — a big grey metal panel, numbered “16” and bolted with corner screws, seals a wide slice of the upper-left grid, and a blue “3” marker caps the far-right top tile. Everything beneath those two blockers is a guess until the run starts.
What the opening frame does show is honest. The visible top row carries blue, orange, pink, green, and light cyan tiles, with more green and purple tucked lower on the right side and a two-tile dark brown stack standing in the middle of the grid. The front receiver Boxes at the base open on purple and orange on the left pair and red, pink, and light cyan on the right pair — and the conveyor is pre-loaded with exactly that sort of fuel: a long run of pink balls and purple balls already feeding upward.
Read backward from the later frames, the whole level takes shape. The colors the conveyor starts with — Pink and Purple — are the ones the early Boxes actually want, which is why the opening flows. As the grid thins, the receivers cycle toward the blue, cyan, and red families, mystery ’?’ tiles cap the remaining columns, and the last frame catches the run in its final stretch with orange, blue, pink, green, and one last brown tile still waiting for their receivers to come around.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 431
The board hides its danger under panels, markers, and mid-board stacks:
- The “16” panel seals the upper-left grid: a whole section of columns cannot be planned until it lifts. Never build a long plan on tiles you cannot see.
- Numbered markers ride the top tiles: the “3” marker on the right edge counts as more than a single tile when freed, and a “1” marker appears mid-solve too. They are worth banking against a Box that is actually open — releasing them blind jams the cycle.
- The conveyor opens biased toward Pink and Purple: that looks generous, but it means those colors arrive in runs. If the left receiver pair is not the active front row when they land, the belt backs up fast.
- The middle brown stack has no early home: two dark brown tiles stand mid-grid while no front Box asks for brown. They are finish-line tiles, and pulling them early is a guaranteed jam.
Marble Sort Level 431 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Follow the release order the clear uses: what the conveyor proves safe first, the reveal columns second, and the middle and edge stacks last.
Opening: spend the conveyor’s Pink and Purple

- Tap the pink and light cyan tiles whose slots already sit in the front receiver pair on the right — they are the safest drops on the opening board.
- Feed the conveyor’s purple run into the left receivers as they cycle; purple appears in the front slots from the start, so the belt’s opening bias is meant to be spent, not hoarded.
- Clear the blue and orange tiles from the visible top row as their slots come around. Orange shows up in both receiver families, so it clears fast once the Boxes open for it.
- Leave the two-tile dark brown stack in the middle completely alone — no early receiver asks for brown, and every brown you release early is a tile you cannot place.
- Do not pull the “3” marker column yet. Keep the far-right edge capped until the tile under the marker has an open Box in front of it.
Midgame: reveal the ’?’ columns and feed the blue family
By the mid-solve frames the grid is about a third cleared: mystery ’?’ tiles cap four of the remaining columns, a “1” marker sits on the rightmost stack, and the front receivers have rotated toward blue, cyan, dark blue, and red. The leftmost column still hides an orange-over-blue pair under its ’?’, and the conveyor is queuing blue at the front with orange and green waiting behind it.
- Reveal the mystery ’?’ tiles one at a time. If the reveal matches a front-row Box, drop it immediately; if not, leave that column and work elsewhere.
- Feed the blue and cyan runs as their receivers cycle forward — blue is riding the front of the conveyor now, and it is the midgame’s main currency.
- Bank the numbered “1” marker on the rightmost stack when a matching Box is front and center; a marker pays several tiles at once and clears that column’s cap in one move.
- Take the orange and green tiles waiting in the conveyor curve as their Boxes open, but only when a receiver is actually asking — green in particular waits at the back of the queue for a long stretch.
- Keep the red tiles in the center on a short leash: red has a front Box mid-solve, so clear it in runs rather than trickling singles onto the belt.
Cleanup: drain the edges and finish the stretch
The end frame catches the run just short of the finish: orange on the top-left, blue and pink stacked in the middle, green on the right, and a final brown tile at the bottom of the board, while the chute still holds green with blue and orange queued above it. The receivers are still taking their last colors, so the level is not complete on camera — it is one or two clean drops from the reward screen.
- Play the blue and pink pair in the middle next; their receivers stay open through the endgame, so they drain in one clean pass each.
- Drop the orange on the top-left only when its receiver is front and active — orange has waited most of the run, and its Box arrives last.
- Let the final brown tile wait for the last receiver slot, the same way it waited all level. Play strictly to the active front row and the remaining receivers pull the stragglers down on their own.
- Keep cycling the queue until the last tile lands; the level completes when the final receiver closes.

Level 431 Tips Recap
- The conveyor opens with Pink and Purple on purpose — spend them on the left receiver pair instead of letting the belt jam.
- Never free a numbered marker or a mystery ’?’ column until the color underneath has a Box sitting front and center.
- The middle brown stack is the level’s finish line; touching it early is the fastest way to lose.
- The video ends in the final stretch — expect a couple of clean drops after the last frame, and keep playing only to the front row.
