Marble Sort Level 174 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 174 Board Overview: The Locked Orange Flood

Level 174 opens on a seven-column tray jammed with every color the game can throw at you: Purple, Pink, Orange, Yellow, Light Blue, Dark Blue, Green, Red, and White tiles all sharing the grid at once. A pair of yellow rail bars with metal latches runs straight across the middle of the tray and pins the center rows, while Mystery ’?’ Tiles hide the colors of a few cells you would rather know about in advance.
The receiver side is where the level makes its first demand. A vertical column of five boxes stands on the left, asking for Purple, Orange, Pink, Blue, and Orange from top to bottom. The right side carries a two-column grid of boxes — Orange and Red on top, White and Blue in the middle — with more slots below that only come into play later. Down at the bottom, a curved conveyor track feeds round marbles into the action, and a feeder grid of tiles waits underneath it with its own ’?’ tiles mixed in.
Notice what is missing. There is no Green box and no Light Blue box anywhere in the opening setup — yet the tray holds plenty of both, and the bottom queue already has green marbles rolling toward the board. That mismatch is the whole level.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 174
- Green and Light Blue are bait. No Green or Light Blue receiver box exists at the start. Any tile you release in those colors sits on the board with nowhere to go and jams the flow.
- The Orange flood is coming. Orange has boxes open from the first move, but the tray is stacked so deep with Orange tiles that chasing every one early clogs the conveyor before the midgame even starts.
- Mystery Tiles hide colors. ’?’ tiles sit both in the tray and in the feeder grid below the conveyor. You cannot plan around a color you cannot see, so clear them only when the queue has room to spare.
- The yellow lock rails pin the center. The two latched rails hold the middle rows in place; tiles underneath stay stuck until the columns around them open up. Forcing the center early wastes moves.
Marble Sort Level 174 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Opening: clear the left boxes first

- Leave every Green and Light Blue tile alone. With no box for either color, they are pure bait.
- Tap the Purples near the left edge into the top Purple box.
- Move on to the Pink stack in the second column — the left box column wants a Pink right below the Purple.
- Feed the Dark Blues scattered across the right columns into the Blue box.
- Clear the Red tile at the base of the far-right column and the Whites stacked near it into their matching boxes.
- Do not chain Orange taps until the queue is almost empty. Let the two left Orange boxes fill gradually as Orange tiles surface on their own.
- When a Mystery Tile sits at the front of a column, clear it only with a free slot on the conveyor — the color underneath decides your next move.
Midgame: the board turns orange
- The early clears strip the tray down, and what is left is a wall of Orange tiles across the bottom row of the grid.
- Now the Orange boxes earn their keep: run the Oranges in continuous chains into the two left Orange boxes, and into the Orange box on the right as well.
- The right-side boxes — White, Blue, Orange, and Red — come into play as their slots cycle forward. Feed them in order.
- Keep the bottom conveyor moving. The marble track refills constantly, so every tap that does not land in a box is a tap that backs the whole board up.
- Revealed Mystery Tiles start handing out extra Pinks, Yellows, and Purples — route them into whatever box is front and open.
Cleanup: drain the last colors
- By the endgame the tray holds only a pale White, a few Oranges, Pinks, dark Reds, light Yellows, and a deep Purple — about a dozen tiles in total.
- The final receiver boxes ask for Yellow, Purple, Green, Orange, and Pink. The Green box finally appears, so any leftover Green tiles you saved now have a home.
- Work strictly front-to-back from here: feed the Yellow and Purple stacks, then the Orange and Pink, and let the remaining queue drain into the last boxes to close out the level.

Level 174 Tips Recap
- Green and Light Blue have zero boxes in the opening — treat every tile in those colors as bait until the Green box arrives in the final stretch.
- The midgame is an Orange flood: that is where the two left Orange boxes and the right Orange box do the real work.
- Never force the middle rows while the yellow lock rails are latched — peel the edges and let the columns open themselves.
- Keep the bottom conveyor moving. A backed-up queue is how runs end on this board.
