Marble Sort Level 500 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 500 Board Overview: The Numbered Crate Grid

Level 500 opens on a mid-game tile board where the upper grid and the lower conveyor feed each other through a funnel. The goal tiles sit at the top of the grid as numbered ‘3’ targets asking for red marbles — each one needs three reds to close. Around them the grid is a patchwork of single tiles and 2x2 stacks in yellow, orange, blue, pink, purple, green, white, and red.
Two mechanics define the opening layout. Grey mystery ’?’ tiles hide parts of the upper grid and several tiles in the lower columns, so you cannot see every color you are working with. A brown wooden crate with an X sits in the upper grid as a locked obstacle, forcing the traffic to route around it.
Below, the conveyor is the only feeder: a curved belt stocked with blue, yellow, light blue, and orange marbles plus a blue advance button that shifts the queue. The lower columns hold pre-sorted stacks of purple, red, blue, light blue, dark blue, yellow, and green with ’?’ tiles mixed in, ready to be carried up as the grid empties.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 500
The board punishes feeding the grid without reading the targets first. Here is the layout:
- The numbered targets only want red: three ‘3’ tiles sit in the grid, and each consumes three red marbles. Every red you spend elsewhere delays a target from closing.
- Mystery ’?’ tiles hide colors in both zones: unrevealed tiles sit in the upper grid and inside the lower stacks, so the conveyor can deliver a color you did not expect.
- The wooden crate blocks the grid: the locked crate with an X is an obstacle, not a tile — marbles cannot land on it, and it narrows the paths through the upper grid.
- The conveyor is a single lane: the queue moves in order and only advances when you press it, so a wrong feed jams the belt and stalls every column behind it.
Marble Sort Level 500 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Read the targets before you touch the belt. Follow the release order.
Opening: feed the numbered targets

- Identify the numbered ‘3’ targets in the upper grid and check what color they request — red is the goal on the opening board.
- Feed red marbles from the conveyor and the visible red tiles straight into the numbered targets. Each target needs three, so count your reds before spending them elsewhere.
- Leave the mystery ’?’ tiles alone until you know what they hide. Reveal them one at a time and only drop the color if a target or an open stack can take it.
- Route around the locked wooden crate — it never opens, so plan every column move around its position in the grid.
- Keep the belt moving with the blue advance button, but only feed colors you can place. Yellow, orange, blue, pink, and purple are safe only when a matching stack is open.
Midgame: clear the stacks and cycle the belt
By the middle of the solve the grid has thinned out: the top row holds orange, brown, and blue singles beside the numbered targets and mystery tiles, while pink, purple, light green, and dark green stacks sit below them. The lower columns are feeding their pre-sorted batches up the funnel, and the conveyor is running a mixed queue.
- Clear the solid-color stacks first — orange, brown, and blue singles drop straight into matching open stacks or finish partial columns.
- Work each 2x2 stack down one tile at a time so the buried color underneath becomes reachable without disturbing the column.
- Use the numbered targets as pressure valves: when red arrives on the belt, spend it there instead of parking it on a stack.
- Treat every ’?’ tile as an unknown until it is revealed. Do not stack a combo on top of it, and only commit when its color has a home.
- Batch the lower columns: the pre-sorted stacks of red, blue, light blue, dark blue, yellow, and green empty quickly when the funnel feeds them in matching runs.
Cleanup: finish the final columns
With the grid nearly empty, the level becomes a finishing line. The end frame shows the upper grid stripped down to a single column of tiles, the lower area reduced to a few stacked columns with ’?’ tiles still mixed in, and marbles in transit between the belt and the grid.
- Let the conveyor cycle the last marbles upward — the final tiles ride the belt and drop into the remaining open stacks.
- Reveal the last mystery ’?’ tiles one at a time and match whatever color they show against the remaining columns.
- Do not chase colors that already have their stacks filled; only feed what the grid can still absorb.
- Finish the last column as the marbles land and let the board empty completely to close the level.

Level 500 Tips Recap
- Read the numbered targets first — every ‘3’ tile wants three red marbles, so spend red only on them.
- Treat mystery ’?’ tiles as unknowns: reveal before you commit, never plan a combo on a hidden color.
- Work around the locked wooden crate — it is a permanent obstacle and it never opens.
- In the endgame, just cycle the conveyor and match the last revealed tiles to the remaining stacks.
