Marble Sort Level 221 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 221 Board Overview: The Block Grid and the Feed Line

Level 221 is a hybrid board. Instead of one tray of bottles, it splits the puzzle in two: a 4x4 block grid on top and a row of marble stacks at the bottom, with a conveyor belt between them. The belt feeds marbles up from below, so clearing the bottom stacks is what keeps the upper grid supplied.
The upper grid opens with colored 2x2 blocks already placed — yellow, pink, and green in the top row, with dark blue and light blue blocks beside them — and several empty white slots waiting to be filled. A gray mystery tile printed with a question mark sits on the left-middle of the grid, and two gray ribbon-tied crates sit in the middle row, blocking the slots behind them. A brown divider wall separates the grid from the lower area.
The bottom starts with four stacks of marbles. Reading across, the visible colors are pink, yellow, red, purple, and red in the left stack; pink, yellow, pink, and orange in the second; green, red, orange, and pink in the third; and orange, red, yellow, and blue in the fourth. A trail of purple marbles is already moving up from the stacks toward the grid when the level starts, with more colors waiting on the belt behind them.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 221
The board is rigged to make you feed the conveyor before the grid is ready. Here is the layout:
- The mystery ’?’ tile hides a grid slot: the gray question-mark tile on the left-middle of the grid is a gamble. Until you clear around it, you cannot plan what goes into that slot.
- Ribbon-tied crates block the middle row: two locked gray crates sit in the middle of the grid, and the midgame frame shows a third on the left. The slots under them stay sealed until the visible blocks around them clear.
- Only a few colors have open slots at the start: yellow, pink, green, dark blue, light blue, and red have receivers on the opening grid; purple and orange have none, so feeding them early jams the belt.
- The conveyor feeds mixed colors: the belt carries purple, red, and orange in runs. A wrong color arriving while its slot is sealed blocks the whole feed line between the stacks and the grid.
Marble Sort Level 221 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Play the grid first, then let the belt follow. Follow the release order.
Opening: match the open slots

- Start with the bottom stacks — tap the colors that already have receivers on the grid: yellow, pink, green, and the two blues are all open at the start.
- Keep each stack grouped by color as you peel it. The opening columns are short, so matching colors side by side empties them fast.
- Feed the colored blocks already sitting in the grid first — yellow, pink, and green in the top row are safe drops that open sightlines.
- Leave the gray mystery ’?’ tile alone. Nothing in the opening tells you what it hides, and clearing the visible slots around it is worth more than gambling on it.
- Do not tap purple or orange off the stacks yet — neither has a slot on the opening grid, and a purple or orange on the belt just blocks the colors that do.
- Work around the ribbon crates: clear the visible blocks on their sides so the slots behind them become reachable later.
Midgame: cycle the conveyor past the crates
By the middle of the solve the grid has thinned out. The mid-solve frame shows the top rows mostly filled — yellow, pink, and green squares in row one, a cyan block and a blue textured block in row two — while the lower rows stay empty and three ribbon crates (one on the left, two in the center) still hold the middle. The bottom stacks now read orange, red, purple, light blue, and blue in the left column; red, yellow, cyan, and light blue in the second; red, yellow, red, blue, and purple in the third; and red, yellow, cyan, blue, and purple in the fourth. The belt is running a heavy run of purple — five purples, then red, then two oranges — with a large pink marble dropping toward it.
- Feed the purple run as the midgame opens — by now the purple slot on the grid is reachable, and the belt is carrying five purples in a row.
- Take the conveyor in its runs: five purples, then red, then orange. Match each run to the slot that is open instead of mixing colors on the belt.
- Drop the pink marble that falls toward the belt into the pink block slot — pinks are still active in the grid.
- Peel the light blue and cyan blocks off the bottom stacks; they pair with the cyan and light blue slots in the upper rows.
- Clear the visible blocks around the ribbon crates so the sealed slots behind them come into play — the crates are the last thing standing between you and the empty rows.
- Keep only colors with an open slot moving. The stacks are short now, so every wasted tap stalls the belt.
Cleanup: drain the chute
With the grid nearly empty, the level becomes a finishing line. The end frame shows the grid down to two 2x2 blocks — a pink block in the second column and a blue block in the fourth column of the top row — while the center chute holds a loose cluster of green and yellow marbles waiting to drop. The belt is carrying four purples, three blues, and a yellow, and the bottom stacks hold a few final yellows, greens, blues, and pinks.
- Play strictly to the active grid slots — the pink and blue blocks are the last pieces, so everything else just feeds them.
- Drain the center chute as it opens: the greens and yellows in the chute are the final supply for the last slots.
- Let the belt cycle the last purples, blues, and yellows home, and finish the remaining stacks. The level ends the moment the grid clears.

Level 221 Tips Recap
- The mystery ’?’ tile and the ribbon crates are the same trap: do not reveal what you cannot use yet. Clear the visible grid slots first.
- Only feed colors with an open slot — purple and orange are bait until the midgame, and the belt jams if you tap them early.
- Take the conveyor in its runs: purple, red, and orange arrive in batches, so match each run to the slot that is open.
- In the endgame the grid is nearly empty; just drain the chute and cycle the last belt colors into the final slots.
