Marble Sort Level 249 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 249 Board Overview: The Mystery-Sealed Crate Wall

Level 249 opens on a tile-grid tray with six columns, and the top row of every single column is a grey mystery ’?’ tile. You cannot see the crown of the board at all, so the opening plan has to come from what the tray shows you lower down — and from the queue that is already running.
Two Blue stacks sit in the second row, marked with a white “3” badge each: a numbered stack that pays three Blue tiles the moment it is freed. Between and around them the middle of the tray is blocked by wooden crates, and the visible tiles are honest but few: Purple and three Yellows on the left, a single Blue and a Green on the right. The conveyor queue below starts the run with Green, Green, Red, Red, Green, Red, Red.
The receiver Boxes open with slots for Blue, Green, Yellow, and Purple — exactly the colors you can see — while Red, White, Orange, and Cyan slots cycle in as the early Boxes fill. Everything else on this board is hidden under a mystery tile or locked behind a crate, and that split between what is visible and what is sealed is the whole level.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 249
The board is rigged to make you reveal faster than you can sort. Here is the layout:
- Every column is capped by a ’?’ tile: the entire top row is mystery, so you cannot plan the top of the tray until you tap it, and each reveal is a gamble.
- Crates wall off the middle: wooden crates block column 3 in the second and third rows, column 4 in the third row, and column 5 in the fourth row, sealing the center of the tray until they clear.
- The Blue “3” stacks are buried: both numbered stacks sit one row below the mystery caps, so the best tiles on the board are also the least reachable at the start.
- The queue only feeds Green and Red first: everything else on the belt — Blue, White, Yellow, and later Cyan, Orange, and Purple — arrives after the Boxes have cycled, so feeding greedily jams the conveyor.
Marble Sort Level 249 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Reveal the board before you commit to it. Follow the release order.
Opening: feed what the tray shows

- Tap the front Greens off the queue straight into the open Green Box slots — Green has a receiver from the very first move.
- Tap the Purple tile on the left side of the tray into its Purple Box.
- Collect the three Yellows — one in the third row and two in the fourth — into the Yellow Box.
- Drop the single Blue on the right into a Blue Box. The numbered Blue stacks in the second row stay put for now; they still sit under their mystery caps.
- Start peeling the ’?’ mystery tiles off the column tops. If the reveal matches an open Box, drop it; if not, leave the column and come back.
- Keep the conveyor moving, but only tap a queue tile whose color has an open Box — the Reds arrive early, so wait for a Red slot to cycle to the front.
Midgame: break the crates, let the queue turn
By the middle of the solve the crates in the center have broken apart, dropping the tiles they were sealing into reach. The remaining mystery tiles still blanket the top row and the middle columns, and the queue has cycled around to Blue, White, and Yellow in batches. New colors — Pink, Orange, and Brown — have surfaced on the grid.
- Bank the numbered Blue stacks now: each “3” badge delivers three Blues into the Blue Boxes and clears a full column in one drop.
- Feed the Blue and Yellow riding the queue as their slots sit front and center — the belt is running those colors in batches of three now.
- Hold the Whites: their Box sits further along the receiver line, so do not park a White on the belt until its slot opens.
- Play the Orange on the right side and the Brown in the center-right into their Boxes as they become reachable — both have receivers open by this stage.
- Treat the revealed Pink as bait until its Box slides forward; the midgame receiver line is busy, and a wrong Pink drop jams the tray.
Cleanup: chase the last stragglers
With every mystery tile revealed and every crate gone, the tray thins out to a handful of single tiles. The end state shows just four left on the grid: a Light Blue up top-left, an Orange on the right-middle, and Pink and Brown side by side on the left. The queue is still running Blue, Red, Cyan, Orange, and Purple.
- Play the Light Blue and the Orange singles into their open receivers as the queue delivers their matching colors.
- Drop the adjacent Pink and Brown on the left into their Boxes — each is a single waiting for its slot.
- Let the final queue cycle finish the last receiver slots. The level completes the moment the last tile lands.

Level 249 Tips Recap
- Reveal before you commit: the whole top row is mystery ’?’ tiles, so never plan a combo on colors you cannot see.
- Only feed colors with an open Box — Blue, Green, Yellow, and Purple open the level; Red, White, Orange, and Cyan come later.
- Bank the numbered Blue “3” stacks as soon as their mystery caps clear — each one pays three tiles into a single drop.
- The crates break on their own as you play around them; clear the visible tiles first and the hidden Pink, Orange, and Brown fall into reach.
