Marble Sort Level 184 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 184 Board Overview: Locks in the Middle

Level 184 is marked Hard, and the opening board shows exactly why: two chain Locks sit in the middle of the Top Tray, pinning the marbles beneath them so the center of the board is effectively closed off at the start. Around those Locks, the tray is a mix of open stacks and Mystery Boxes, which means the safest colors to play are on the outer edges, not the middle.
The receivers in the front row ask for Pink, Green, Light Pink, and Orange, and the belt is already carrying runs of Light Pink, Orange, red, and white from the very first moments. Green, Red, Purple, Yellow, and Light Blue round out the tray, with Brown and darker blues joining the flow later in the solve.
The trap is timing. Because the Locks and Mystery Boxes sit dead center, grabbing marbles from the middle too early jams the belt before the front-row receivers cycle forward. Play the perimeter, and the center opens itself up.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 184
The board is rigged so that the most tempting taps are the most dangerous. Here is the layout:
- Two central chain Locks: a pair of purple chain Locks wrap the stacks in the middle of the tray. Those marbles cannot be released cleanly early, so the middle of the board is off-limits for the opening.
- Mystery Boxes behind the Locks: a Mystery Box sits on the right side of the tray and another in the mid-right area. Opening them dumps a random color onto the belt, which is a gamble you do not want to take before you have space.
- Green and Red on both sides: Green stacks flank the board on the left, with Red mixed into the middle-right. Both colors have receivers in the front and mid rows, so they are your bread-and-butter taps.
- Heavy belt traffic: Light Pink, Orange, and red runs are already queued on the belt. Adding the Locks’ contents or a Mystery Box drop on top of that queue is how runs die.
The board wants you to crack the Locks immediately. Do that and the Mystery Boxes plus the locked stacks flood the belt at once. Instead, leave the center alone until the first row of receivers clears.
Marble Sort Level 184 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Discipline beats speed here. Follow the release order.
Opening: play the flanks

- Tap the Green marbles on the left side of the tray into the front-row Green receiver.
- Feed the Pink on the left into the Pink receiver to get its tube started.
- Move to the right side and tap the Orange into the Orange receiver.
- Keep feeding Light Pink wherever the belt delivers it — the front row wants it and it clears fast.
- As the front row empties, the mid-row receivers ask for more Green and Red. Release Red from the middle-right stacks only when a Red receiver is actually in the front or second row.
- Do not touch the Locks, and do not open any Mystery Box, until the belt has breathing room.
Midgame: break the center open
Once the early Pink, Green, and Orange tubes clear, the center becomes playable and the receivers shift. This is the moment to deal with the Locks.
- Clear the first Lock by releasing the stack it pins, feeding the marbles into the receivers that now ask for them.
- Follow with the second Lock. Do the Locks one at a time — never both in the same stretch.
- Now that the middle is open, decide on the Mystery Boxes. If the belt is clear, pop one and sort whatever it drops; if the belt is still busy, leave it.
- Prioritize the Purple and Green tubes next — both colors sit in the mid-right and center, and clearing them frees the most space.
- Watch for Brown and dark blue arrivals on the belt. They have receivers waiting further back, so let them ride until their tubes reach the front row.
Cleanup: finish the final colors
With the tray nearly stripped, the endgame is about the last colors only.
- Close out the remaining Green and Red by feeding only what their front-row tubes ask for.
- Finish the Purple tube with the last purple marbles from the center.
- Leave stragglers on the belt when their receiver is still buried — they can wait.
- Once the final Blue, Green, and Red tubes are complete, the last few marbles slide into place and the board clears.

Level 184 Tips Recap
- The two central Locks are the whole level — ignore them until the first row of receivers clears.
- Mystery Boxes are a midgame tool, not an opening move. Pop them only when the belt is quiet.
- Green, Red, Pink, and Orange are your early-game colors; play them the moment their receivers sit front row.
- In the late game, play only to the active front row. Everything else can wait on the belt.
