Marble Sort Level 187 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 187 Board Overview: The Padlocked Center Crate

Marble Sort level 187 opening board — The Padlocked Center Crate

Level 187 is a Hard board that hides its most important marble behind a padlock. The opening tray shows six columns stacked three marbles deep, and right in the middle — column three, center slot — a wooden crate sits sealed under a padlock with a Purple marble trapped inside. The only way to free it is the golden Key tile parked at the middle of the right side of the board, sitting right on the main grid where a marble would be.

The visible inventory is small and honest: three Light Blues (top of columns 1, 3, and 6), three Greens, four Reds, two Pinks, two Whites, and a single Dark Blue, Orange, and Yellow apiece. The front row of receiver Boxes asks for Green, Blue, Red, Purple, Pink, and Light Blue — and behind it three more rows cycle Red, Yellow, Light Blue, Green, Orange, White, then White, Pink, Dark Blue, Red, Light Blue, Green, then Yellow, Light Blue, Pink, Dark Blue, Red, Orange.

Nothing in that stack is balanced. Red appears four times but earns only one front-row Box, and Dark Blue, Orange, Yellow, and White all have to wait two or three rows before a Box of their color shows up. The level is built around the single Purple marble: it exists exactly once on the board, it is padlocked into the center crate, and there is exactly one Purple Box in the opening front row.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 187

The board wants you to grab everything within reach and jam your own Conveyor Belt. Here is the layout:

  • The center padlock holds the only Purple: column three’s middle slot is a wooden crate sealed under a padlock, with a Purple marble inside. There is no second Purple anywhere on the tray, and the Purple Box sits in the opening front row — if you let it cycle past, you carry dead weight for a long time.
  • The Key is the whole puzzle: the golden Key tile on the main grid is the only tool that pops the padlock. Reaching it means clearing the marbles stacked around it without dumping bait onto your belt.
  • Red is oversupplied: four Red marbles face a single front-row Red Box. Every Red you tap early has to sit on the belt or in a queue slot until that Box is front and center.
  • Dark Blue, Orange, Yellow, and White are bait: none of them has a Box in the front row. Feed them during the opening and the belt clogs before the first row of Boxes clears.

Marble Sort Level 187 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play the front row first and treat the padlock as the priority. Follow the release order.

Opening: clear the front row and reach the Key

Marble Sort level 187 mid-solve board

  1. Tap the Light Blue marbles at the tops of columns 1, 3, and 6 into the front-row Light Blue Box as they come within reach.
  2. Feed the Greens — column 2 middle, column 4 middle, and column 5 bottom — into the Green Box.
  3. Drop the two Pinks (column 1 bottom and column 5 top) into the Pink Box.
  4. Handle Red only while the Red Box is front and center. Reds sit at the bottoms of columns 2, 3, and 6 with a fourth at column 5 middle, so they arrive in clusters.
  5. Leave Dark Blue, Orange, Yellow, and White alone — none has a front-row Box, so every tap is bait.
  6. Work toward the golden Key tile on the main grid. The padlocked Purple in the center crate cannot come out until the Key reaches it, so clear the path without parking junk on the belt.

Midgame: unlock the crate and feed the second wave

Once the opening row of Boxes clears, the tray cycles and the padlock becomes the center of the level.

  1. Deliver the Key to the padlock in column 3. The Purple marble joins the grid — drop it into the Purple Box while it is still front row.
  2. With the first row gone, the Boxes ask for Red, Yellow, Light Blue, Green, Orange, and White. The bait colors finally have homes, so feed Yellow, Orange, and White as their Boxes arrive.
  3. Watch the rim of the board: numbered Crates sit on the outer columns, marked 1 and 2 at the top and 0 at the bottom. Pouring marbles into them counts the number down, and at zero the crate pops open and drops its marble onto the grid.
  4. As the rim Crates open, the freed marbles — mostly Red, Purple, Green, Yellow, and Orange — land in the center columns. Feed them only against the active front row.
  5. Clear whole columns when you can; the marbles released from the crates crowd the middle of the tray, so a clean column makes room for the next pop.

Cleanup: finish wave by wave

The video’s final frame shows the board still in progress — the numbered rim Crates cycling from 2 down to 0 and the receivers taking their last tiles — so the endgame is about patience, not speed.

  1. Play only to the active front row from here on. Every marble on the grid has a Box somewhere in the queue; let the Boxes rotate to it.
  2. Keep feeding the rim Crates one pour at a time so they pop on schedule and never leave a stray marble stranded in the grid.
  3. As the tray thins to scattered singles, finish each Box the moment its color arrives and let the queue drain the last marbles.

Level 187 Tips Recap

  • The padlocked Purple in the center crate is the whole level — grab the golden Key and unlock it before the Purple Box cycles out of the front row.
  • Front row first: Green, Blue, Red, Pink, and Light Blue open the board; Dark Blue, Orange, Yellow, and White are bait until their Boxes rotate in.
  • Numbered rim Crates count down with every marble you pour into them — at zero they pop and drop their marble onto the grid.
  • In the endgame, play only to the active front row and let the queue feed the stragglers; the last waves finish themselves.
