Marble Sort Level 167 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 167 Board Overview: Mystery Tiles Behind Wooden Crates

Marble Sort level 167 opening board — Mystery Tiles Behind Wooden Crates

Level 167 is a Hard-mode tile-sorting board with a packed tray. The visible tiles are a mix of solid colors, gray mystery ”?” tiles, and a pair of wooden crates planted in the middle of the grid. The crates sit over the central columns, so the opening is played on the rim of the tray; the ”?” tiles flip into real colors the moment you clear them, which makes every reveal a small gamble.

The palette spans Light Blue, Dark Blue, Yellow, Pink, Orange, Red, Green, Brown, and White. The opening row of receiver Boxes asks for Light Blue, White, and Green, with Dark Blue and Red boxes waiting in the rows behind. The Conveyor Belt at the base of the board is already loaded — it cycles Dark Blue, Light Blue, Yellow, Red, Green, Purple, Pink, and White tiles on a loop, so the board keeps feeding you fresh colors whether you want them or not.

That conveyor is the whole level. The tray gives you the starting colors; the belt decides what arrives next. If you keep matching what the front row asks for, the cycle delivers exactly the ingredients for the next row. If you fall behind, the queue backs up and the tray jams.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 167

The opening board is rigged to make you gamble on mystery tiles and hoard colors. Here is the layout:

  • Mystery ”?” tiles: several gray question-mark tiles sit in the top half of the tray. Clear one and it flips to a random color — sometimes a front-row match, sometimes a color with no Box at all.
  • Wooden crates: the crates plug the middle columns and hide whatever sits behind them. You cannot release those columns until the tiles around them clear, so the opening is played entirely on the visible edges.
  • Conveyor pressure: the belt never stops feeding. If you park tiles on the queue waiting for a Box that never arrives, the line backs up and you run out of room to sort.
  • Bait colors: Brown and Purple are visible in the mix with no Boxes in the early rows. Grabbing them on the way to something useful is the fastest way to jam the tray.
  • The buried boxes: Dark Blue and Red are front-row colors later, but their boxes sit behind the opening row — chase them too early and you hold two useless columns hostage.

The board wants you to tap every ”?” you see and collect every color in reach. Do that and the belt jams before the first row of Boxes clears. Instead, treat the unknown tiles as reveals to be done one at a time and the bait colors as off-limits until their boxes cycle forward.

Marble Sort Level 167 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play to the front row, reveal the unknowns in order, and never hold the conveyor hostage. Follow the release order.

Opening: clear the visible edges

The first row of Boxes asks for Light Blue, White, and Green. Everything else on the board is bait until it cycles.

  1. Tap the solid Light Blue tiles in reach into a Light Blue Box — several ride the front of the conveyor, so this box stays fed.
  2. Drop the White tiles into their Box as they become reachable; the belt carries two early on.
  3. Feed the Green tiles the same way — the Light Green pair in the queue matches an opening Box.
  4. Reveal the mystery ”?” tiles one at a time, starting with the ones whose columns already have clear matches beneath them. The reveal decides which Box they feed.
  5. If a ”?” reveals a color whose Box is buried, leave it on the tray and work around it instead of dragging it onto the belt.
  6. Do not touch the Brown or Purple tiles yet — neither has an open Box in the early rows, and the queue cannot absorb them.
  7. Keep the Light Blue, White, and Green Boxes moving. Every one you clear pulls the next row of Boxes forward.

Midgame: the crates come out

Once the opening row clears, the board rotates: the crate columns unlock and the front row shifts toward the darker colors that were hiding behind them.

  1. Clear the tiles pinning each wooden crate, then release the colors revealed behind it — they usually match the boxes that just slid to the front.
  2. Ride the conveyor cycle (Dark Blue → Light Blue → Yellow → Red → Green → Purple → Pink → White) and feed each color the moment its Box is front row.
  3. When two matching tiles arrive back to back, feed them in pairs — clearing columns two at a time doubles your space.
  4. If a column holds a color with no active Box, leave it on the tray and feed the next match on the belt instead. The boxes cycle faster than the queue.
  5. Reveal the remaining mystery tiles now that their columns are open, and fold each revealed color into whichever Box is active.
  6. Use a bomb power-up only when a column is truly stuck: it clears the block and buys you the room you need to keep sorting.

Cleanup: empty the belt

With the crates gone and the tray wide open, the level becomes a matching race against the conveyor.

  1. Work left to right, finishing the shortest columns first — they turn into empty slots you can recycle.
  2. Match colors in pairs wherever the belt allows; a single tile with no partner is a stalled column.
  3. When the conveyor hands you a color you cannot place, hold it at the back of the queue and let the next few tiles pass.
  4. Save the shuffle/rotate power-up for a genuine deadlock — one good reshuffle ends the level.
  5. Play only to the active front row from here, and the remaining Boxes pull the last tiles down on their own.

Level 167 Tips Recap

  • Reveal the mystery ”?” tiles early — every hidden color you learn is a decision you no longer have to gamble on.
  • Never hoard a color whose Box has not cycled forward. The conveyor keeps feeding, but your tray space does not.
  • The crates are your midgame timer: clear their columns on schedule and the rest of the board opens up.
  • Save the bomb and shuffle power-ups for genuine deadlocks — using them early wastes your only safety nets.
