Marble Sort Level 153 Walkthrough & Solution

Level 153 Board Overview: The Mystery Tile Tray

Marble Sort level 153 opening board — The Mystery Tile Tray

Level 153 starts on a compact 3x3 top tray that has been split into two crate sections. Several of its slots are hidden behind Mystery ’?’ tiles, so you cannot see everything you are about to sort. A couple of columns near the crates are covered by numbered tiles, and the tray leans on the middle and right columns for its real work.

The colors that matter from the first move are Brown, Black, Green, Orange, and Teal. They turn up in the opening columns and keep rolling in from the Conveyor Belt. Supporting them are Red, Blue, Purple, Yellow, and Pink, which cycle in and out as the receiver Boxes change.

Down below, five receiver Boxes ask for a mix of colors. Only one of them is close to full at the start — most of the stack space sits empty and waiting. The trick of this level is that the Boxes do not line up with the marbles you can see, so every clean drop comes from reading the current front row, not from chasing whatever is easiest.

The Trap in Marble Sort Level 153

The tray is built to make you clear the visible columns first and regret it:

  • Mystery ’?’ tiles hide a chunk of the mid-tray. You literally cannot plan around what is underneath until a crate cycles or a tile clears.
  • The conveyor drops in mixed pairs. White, Red, Blue, Yellow, and Gold arrive one after another, so an unlucky queue can jam the belt if you have nowhere safe to put a color.
  • The left-side crates sit over the Black and Brown. Those are real targets, but reaching them means holding extra marbles while the boxes they need are still buried in the queue.
  • Only one receiver Box is ever ready at a time for several colors. Feed the wrong color into a filled slot and you waste a stack.

The board wants you to clear whatever the queue feeds and chase every reachable column. Do that and you burn your empty stacks on bait. Instead, let the Boxes cycle to the front and only commit a marble when its color has a home waiting.

Marble Sort Level 153 Step-by-Step Walkthrough

Play the release order, not the temptation order.

Opening: strip the visible columns

Marble Sort level 153 mid-solve board

  1. Clear the easy single-color drops first — whatever marble sits alone on a column with an empty slot directly below it in the same color family.
  2. Feed the Brown and Black from the tray into the Boxes that ask for them; both appear in the left group of columns and both have homes early.
  3. Push the Orange and Teal from the right group into their matching Boxes to open up those columns.
  4. Do not touch the Mystery ’?’ tiles yet. Let the conveyor keep feeding while you drain the columns you can actually see.
  5. Watch the conveyor for White and Gold pairs. If either color has no Box in the front row, leave it queued instead of dumping it into a half-stack.
  6. Keep the mid-tray columns shallow. The more empty slots you hold back, the more room you have when the ’?’ tiles start spitting out surprise colors.

Midgame: cycle the crates and clear the Mystery tiles

Once the visible Brown, Black, Green, Orange, and Teal are out, the Boxes cycle hard and the Mystery ’?’ tiles start to drop their hidden marbles.

  1. Release the ’?’ tiles in small batches. They tend to reveal colors that match the newly cycled Boxes, so clear one crate section at a time.
  2. Prioritize Green and Teal as they arrive — they both fill Boxes across the bottom row and free up the most tray space.
  3. Slot the Red, Blue, and Purple into whichever front-row Box asks for them, one at a time.
  4. If a queue of two same-color marbles rides in together, feed them back-to-back into a matching Box to save a full cycle.
  5. Avoid holding more than one or two spare marbles on the belt. The midgame queue runs heavy, and a jammed belt stalls the whole clear.

Cleanup: fill the last stacks

With the crates cleared, only the stragglers in the tray and the tail of the conveyor remain.

  1. Match the last Yellow, Pink, and Orange to the Boxes still showing a gap.
  2. Read the front row before every drop. If a color’s Box is not in front yet, hold it — it will slide forward within a cycle or two.
  3. Clear each remaining column top-down so you never trap a needed color underneath an unneeded one.
  4. Finish the final Boxes one stack at a time until every receiver is full and the tray is empty.

Level 153 Tips Recap

  • Leave the Mystery ’?’ tiles for the midgame — clear the visible columns first so you have room for whatever they reveal.
  • Brown, Black, Green, Orange, and Teal are your anchors; feed them the moment their Boxes are in the front row.
  • The conveyor runs in mixed pairs. Only commit a color whose Box is ready, or you will fill a stack with bait.
  • Keep the belt short. One or two spare marbles is fine; a full queue of unplaceable colors stalls the clear.
