Marble Sort Level 179 Walkthrough & Solution
Level 179 Board Overview: The Locked Mystery Stack

Level 179 drops you into an L-shaped tray where almost nothing is what it seems. Nine grey mystery tiles with big white question marks blanket the tops of the columns, and two numbered ‘4’ markers cap the outer columns. Beneath them sit a handful of revealed tiles: solid White at the base of the left columns, a green checkered tile, an Orange tile, and a Red tile down the right side, with grey pipe connectors running through the middle column.
The real obstacle is a yellow wooden crate with a lock icon planted in the middle of the tray. A gold key rests just beside it, and nothing behind that crate moves until you spend it. Off to the side, the receiver boxes ask for Blue, Yellow, Pink, Orange, Green, Red, White, and Purple — eight colors cycling through the front row.
The conveyor belt below starts loaded: Purple, Orange, Yellow, and Green sit at the front of the queue, with more Purple, White, Yellow, Red, Pink, and Green stacked behind them. The whole level is a pacing problem — the tray hides its colors, the crate holds a column hostage, and the belt keeps shoving new tiles at you while the boxes change.
The Trap in Marble Sort Level 179
The board is rigged to make you reveal faster than you can sort. Here is the layout:
- Nine mystery ’?’ tiles: almost every column top is a gamble. You cannot plan around a color until it reveals, so every early tap risks dropping a tile you cannot place.
- Yellow locked crate in the center: it blocks the middle of the tray until you spend the gold key beside it. The tiles underneath stay frozen while the belt keeps moving.
- Queue opens with Purple, Orange, Yellow, Green: these four arrive first, but their boxes are not all in the front row. Tap them blind and the belt jams before the opening clears.
- Numbered outer columns with pipe connectors: the two ‘4’ columns and the piped center feed tiles in a fixed drop order. One wrong tap sends a whole stack down at once.
- Green and Pink close early, Blue last: the Green and Pink receivers fill first, while the Blue box wants three dark blue tiles that take most of the run to gather.
Marble Sort Level 179 Step-by-Step Walkthrough
Play the revealed tiles first, then let the boxes dictate the belt.
Opening: strip what you can see

- Tap the solid White tiles at the base of the left columns into a White box. They are the only completely safe taps on the opening board.
- Feed the green checkered tile into the Green box and the Orange tile into the Orange box.
- Tap the Red tile in the right column into a Red box.
- Spend the gold key on the yellow locked crate as soon as you can reach it. Unlocking it releases the hidden column and opens the middle of the tray.
- As the mystery ’?’ tiles reveal, place them immediately when their box is in the front row. If one reveals a color with no open box, park it and keep going.
- Watch the belt: Purple, Orange, Yellow, and Green are queued first. Only tap a queue tile whose box is visible — leave the rest riding the conveyor.
Midgame: close Green and Pink, start the Blue run
By the middle of the solve the board thins out fast: the Green and Pink receivers fill completely, a tall bright Pink block and a dark Blue block sit in the columns, and two more locked crates still hide mystery tiles at the top of the right column, with supply stacks of Orange, Green, dark Blue, and Pink waiting on the side.
- Keep feeding Green and Pink — these two boxes are the first to close. The bright Pink block in the tray and the Pink supply stack feed the second.
- When the Green and Pink receivers are full, stop pulling those colors and let new boxes cycle forward.
- Open the Blue run: the Blue receiver wants three dark blue tiles. Collect the dark Blue block in the left column and the dark Blue supply stack, and do not spend dark Blue anywhere else.
- Unlock the two crates at the top of the right column to release the mystery tiles underneath, then feed the Orange block into its box as the column frees up.
- Cycle the Purple tiles quickly — three Purples ride the belt through the midgame. Tap each one only while a Purple box is at the front, then let the next box appear.
Cleanup: empty the tray and run out the belt
With the grid nearly empty, the level becomes a straight finishing line.
- Work the remaining supply stacks — Orange, Green, dark Blue, bright Pink — against the last open boxes.
- Finish the Blue box with the final dark blue tiles; it is the last big receiver standing.
- Run the conveyor out to the end. A locked crate waits at the tail of the queue — unlock it to reveal the final mystery tiles.
- Feed the last few tiles as they drop and let the tray empty. The level completes the moment the final tile lands.

Level 179 Tips Recap
- Treat every ’?’ tile as a surprise: keep buffer space on the belt before revealing a run of them.
- Never feed the queue blind — Purple, Orange, Yellow, and Green arrive first, but only colors with an open box belong on the belt.
- Unlock the crates when the column below is ready, not on sight; the key is your only way through the center.
- Green and Pink close out early, so save your dark Blue collection for the Blue box that finishes the level.
